This one is for all my curly haired girls who grew up hating their curls as a kid. Not because they weren’t beautiful, but because society makes you believe you should fit in with the crowd. Keratin treatments and extensions were my bff. Don’t get me wrong I love a good Brazilian blowout LOL. I wanted straight hair all throughout my teenage years. Partially because I didn’t know how to style my curls back then, but also because I grew up in a predominantly white town and I didn’t see a whole lot of people who looked like me. The curly haired and mixed girlies definitely get it! #iykyk I now look at my curls as my crown, my staple, what makes me unique. What makes me stand out from the crowd, which is what I was born to do. I love them. I wish my middle and high school self realized how beautiful they were sooner. But that’s alllll apart of the journey. Self love. Self discovery. 🤎 28 years young and finally loving my curls in their entirety, even on wash day hahaha.
