Well, the end of an era. See ya mate. Stoked to find people out there as hyped on this bike as me and willing to put the time and energy in to get it up and running again.

Exciting times ahead - looking forward to something completely different. We love 🇨🇦 although with housing costs the way they are and the desire to live adventurously - it was time to pivot. We’re ready to jump into this amazing community and live our best Italian lives - the invitations open 🚲 🍷 ⛰️

Hobart!
Our last stop in Tassie before heading back to the mainland. It’s really cool city - the harbour reminded me of those in New England. It was full of nice coffee, op shops and mountain bikers filled the paths/streets with trails on Mount Wellington being minutes from where we stayed. Thanks to new pals for meeting for a ride, towing me up and showing me some great trails. Also finally made it to the MONA.
Maydena!
We planned our time in Tassie around a fun, two-day enduro mountain bike race happening at Maydena bike park. It was a jam format race - meaning you try and get in as many laps down in a designated amount of time and only your fastest time gets logged. Going into the race, I didn’t know anyone in my category but that quickly changed as I attached myself to a crew of women not far in front of me in the que. BEST brave move ever. Over two days, I had the MOST fun on the bike while getting to know these ladies from all of Tasmania and the mainland. Was stoked to come away with the category win and a handful of new pals.
Tassie - Part two
Spent the week based in St. Helen’s exploring nearby beaches and catching up with Uncle Jesse. Weather was pretty grey, drizzly and cool most days but I didn’t mind. With an active, race weekend planned it was nice to stroll the beaches, find little treasures and go for ocean dips each day. Next, Maydena and Hobart.
Tassie so far.
We took the ferry from the mainland which sails to the north port city of Devonport. Since we debarked quite early we headed straight to Ben Lomond National Park for a hike before heading to St. Helen’s to visit with Dennis’s bro. He wasted no time offering Uncle Daycare sessions so Dennis and I could get some riding in around the Bay of Fires zone and in Derby. It’s otherworldly, riding through these insanely beautiful forests - a very cool part of the 🌎.
September recap - visiting old stompin’ grounds, catching up with friends, lovely family visits, playing dress up, riding/racing bikes, failed moto rides, dance parties, not catching fish & making new friends.
