Couldn’t find a better way to share this. Wasn’t planning to talk about it either on stage or here but a friend said; ‘maybe someone needs to hear this and maybe someone would’ve wanted to know so that they could support you’, and it made sense and it also seems like comedy won’t allow me to hide things to myself.
Last August at a free format clown show at the fringe festival I did a tarot reading for the audience as part of my performance and I asked them to come up with a question for the reading. So each audience member shouts a word and then they create a full sentence. They built the question word by word: “when-will-you-hear-your-mother’s-last-words” - without knowing what word the next person was going to say. Maybe they subconsciously read the anticipatory grief on my face, or maybe there is something more to life than what we know, something magical, hidden in creative moments, but anyway. The moment I heard the full question, I started losing it because at that time I was upset with my mom and was avoiding her calls, so the question literally broke me. A clown friend jumped on the stage to save me, the audience and the show, thankfully.
Same night I called my mom and a few months later I went to spend a month with her, without knowing that it was going to be our last month together in this lifetime.
I’ll take my time to grieve losing the one who brought me to this earth, and I will continue telling stories and sharing jokes that allows me to go deeper in my grief.

Integration 🎤 ‘Homesick’
I’m slowly saying goodbye to this show because I feel less homesick now — after doing it around a hundred times and meeting so many people, and relating to our shared experience of missing home, sometimes even when you think you’re home.
