✨MENU✨ for Saturday’s in May at @morella.sf . I’m keeping the core 4 pastries from April, as quite a few people have not been able to try them yet. I will also have a rotating weekly special 😄 What’s baking: 🍌 Miso Banana Pain Suisse - cross-laminated croissant dough filled with a sweet and salty miso banana compote and caramelized white chocolate 🍓Strawberry Daifuku Kouign Amann - a seasonal variation of my Kouign Amann, with a creamy red bean filling, chewy mochi, and fresh strawberries. Brushed with a strawberry lemon syrup. 🌿 Chili Crisp Scallion Roll - flaky croissant dough rolled with chili crisp and scallions 🧅 Gruyère Shiitake Onion Scone - a super umami scone with gruyere, shiitake mushrooms, and caramelized onions. One of my personal favorites. Announcements: 🥐 Pre-orders open on Monday’s. Starting May 2, catch Hali Home Bakes at @morella.sf on Saturday mornings! My dream with Hali Home Bakes is to build a bakery that is not just a trend, but a part of your morning routine. I’m excited to partner with the amazing Morella team so that you can consistently find me in one place. I will still do the occasional pop-up in other parts of the city, but a home base close to my new kitchen means I can produce more pastries, fresh from the oven. Hi my name is Hali and I’m the baker behind Hali’s Home Bakes! At the beginning of 2024 I quit my job in tech to go to pastry school in Paris. I wanted to wake up every day and do something I love. Hali Home Bakes is my love note to all things pastry. Croissantembouche for a 90th birthday party 🥳 Assembled from 56 mini croissants filled with Black Sesame Diplomat Cream and Matcha Diplomat Cream, then dipped in a crunchy caramel crust. Built completely freestanding because caramel is a powerful thing. I’m not much of a cake person, so the Croissantembouche is my signature showstopper of choice 🥐🥐🥐 #croissantembouche #croquembouche #microbakery #croissants

I’ve been testing different croissant monkey bread flavor combos and I’m excited to have one that is a winner: 🍊 Mandarin Ginger Monkey Bread - Croissant dough pieces tossed in a ginger, orange zest, and sugar mix. Swirled with my housemade mandarin marmalade. Citrusy with a little bit of warmth from the ginger. Pre-orders open on Monday, and you can sign-up in my profile link to be notified!
