Within the past couple of weeks, there’s been a lot of discussion online around Cheyenne Bryant and questions about professional credentials. People will always have different views, and everyone is entitled to ask for clarity and transparency. But beyond the debate, one thing remains more important than anything else — mental health. May is Mental Health Awareness Month, and it’s a reminder that mental health is real, it matters, and it affects all of us, especially within the Black community where support is still often underused due to stigma and misunderstanding. As a Black male CBT Psychotherapist, I created Halftime Chat to help open up these conversations and create a safe space for us to talk about wellbeing, healing, and growth. Whatever your beliefs, one truth remains: When you’re struggling with anxiety, low mood, or emotional stress, it’s okay to seek help. Therapy is valid. Support is necessary. And you don’t have to go through it alone. It’s not just about “pushing through” or “just praying it away” — it’s about combining faith, support, and professional care where needed. If you’re struggling, reach out. You deserve support. This is Nnamdi. Take care. One record that always comes up when we sit down with the 702 camp is “Get It Together” — written and produced by the incredible Donnell Jones. Meelah often goes back to that moment in the studio… being just around 17, already an amazing vocalist, but still learning how to feel a story that wasn’t hers yet. The challenge wasn’t the vocals — it was the emotion. Connecting to the honesty in the lyrics while trying to deliver it with real conviction. That was the tension in the room: Donell pushing for emotional truth, Meelah pushing through her own understanding of the song, and everyone knowing something special was forming in real time. And it really was. What makes it even more interesting is the backstory — Donell originally had his eyes on the track for one of his own groups… but DJ IDF stepped in and said, “No — give it to 702… they’re going to make this a hit.” And that decision aged perfectly. Because “Get It Together” didn’t just become a single… it became one of those timeless R&B records that still hits today — raw, emotional, and unmistakably 702. A real moment where the right song met the right voices at the right time. What’s your favorite 702 record? 👀 Full story now on Halftime Chat 🎙️ 👉 Follow @halftimechatpodcast and @halftimechat for more exclusive interviews #702 #DonnellJones #RNBClassics #90sRNB #TimelessMusic

🎶 One thing about Michael Jackson… he was NEVER afraid to push boundaries. On the Dangerous album, “Can’t Let Her Get Away” showed a whole different side of MJ — gritty, aggressive, and experimental. 🔥 For many fans, this was the first time we really heard Michael Jackson rap on a record, and he absolutely rode that beat! The production? CRAZY. 🤯 That hard-hitting groove, layered vocals, and signature swing had the fingerprints of both Michael and Teddy Riley all over it. Honestly, this should’ve been a single! 🎥 Imagine the VIDEO we could’ve gotten… Michael Jackson rapping, the choreography, the visuals, the energy — it would’ve been next level. And seeing it featured on Soul Train? Pure nostalgia. Watching the dancers interpret that beat and bring the music to life reminds you just how powerful and influential this era of music really was. The Dangerous album gave us so much diversity, and tracks like this proved MJ wasn’t afraid to reinvent himself and experiment with sound. Did “Can’t Let Her Get Away” deserve single treatment? 👀👇 Full story now on Halftime Chat 🎙️ 👉 Follow @halftimechatpodcast and @halftimechat for more exclusive interviews #MichaelJackson #DangerousAlbum #soultrain #TeddyRiley #NewJackSwing
