Enjoy! xoxoxox **Please click the 🔗 in my bio for the full article!** 🤘🔥🤘🔥🤘 VMS: When did you start writing and performing your music. What’s your backstory and current lineup. Quit Yer Whinin: Whiners: Goo • June • Aqua • Nolan • Sid • Ginny “Quit Yer Whinin’” was originally started in 2022, not long after Goo’s original band “red room” was disbanded the year prior. The project went through a slow patch of writing and finding members. Goo kept a lot of songs/lyrics on the back burner until 2024, which is when the members of Quit were solidified, the songs were fully written/finalized, and the first official show was booked in December of that year. VMS: What’s your overall theme or message of your music. Quit Yer Whinin: Our message would be to not put yourself into a box or anyone or any reason. We don’t like to hyper-define our genre or style simply because we make the music WE want to make. We write about what we want and play what makes us happy and fulfilled. We believe in not sticking to a mold and showing the world your diversity and uniqueness, no matter how nerve wracking or scary it might be at first. It’s okay to be a messy, beverage-stained, open book. Tell those awkward stories, cry, scream as loud as you can, be vulnerable, be loud, be misunderstood. VMS: What do you want your audience to feel and experience at one of your live shows. Quit Yer Whinin: We want the audience to know that no matter the circumstances, they’re safe with us. Our shows are meant to be fun, interactive, and in your face. We want everyone in the crowd to feel accepted and seen, while also feeling comfortable enough to get rowdy and play around with us. ---VMS 🔥🤘🔥🤘🔥🤘

Hello Rockstars! Today’s Artist of the Week is Dark Rock band Vendicion! (@_vendicion_ ) Here’s the highlights of their story in their own words! Enjoy! VMS: When did you start writing and performing your music. What’s your backstory and current lineup. Vendicion: LUST! BLOOD! & DEATH! Vendicion was started back in 2019. My previous band had ended and in the same 5 minutes of it’s ending the bassist and I made a new band. We rounded out our group within a couple months and worked on making something unique. All black clothes, leather tight boots, and skull masks. With an added element of horror and gothic romance, VENDICION was born. I took elements of all things I loved and made it into a band I wanted to front. I had a clear vision of what the band had to look and sound like and the guys didn’t flinch and let me take full control. coordinated the outfits, the masks, all the lyrics and songs. Took over all the artwork and named the band. VENDICION is what I came up with. In Spanish it means blessing. Bendicion minus the B and added V, made the name look distinct and original. As for the skull masks, I had many brushes with death. I told the band about my experiences and they as well had their own. I took that, ordered the masks and made us a Band of the Undead. VMS: Which local artist would you like to work with and why. Vendicion: Three bands we would love to eventually play a show with would be Past Self, Coffin Fit & Aethereal. We have been trying to get a show with Coffin Fit for a while but things keep getting in the way. We feel their style and ours mesh very well and we would love to play a show together soon and tear it up. VMS: What do you want your audience to feel and experience at one of your live shows. Vendicion: We want the audience to be taken away. Away to a place full of beautiful darkness, electrifying sounds and haunting voices. (@halfstop on Instagram!) Enjoy! VMS: When did you start writing and performing your music. What’s your backstory. TYMAY: My introduction to vegas music came shortly after graduating high school. I was a professional photographer and videographer and immediately started working with different artists all over the city. One day I was playing my friend’s beats in my car & immediately started freestyling. He encouraged me to record it and gave me the beat. I put out my first mixtape in 2012. I changed my rap name and my subject matter in 2016 and have been putting out music consistently since 2024. This year, I plan to perform live as much as possible. VMS: What’s your writing process and inspiration for your lyrics. TYMAY: I am inspired by everyday life. My pain, my children and my dreams inspire me to express myself. When I listen to a beat, I listen to feel. There’s always so much on my mind that I can’t articulate in day to day conversations. Then there’s a beat that calls me and the words just flow. That has been my process, going with the flow. VMS: Which local artist would you like to work with and why. TYMAY: I’d love to work with Trade Voorhees, I think he makes incredible beats and has great energy. I’d also like to work with the band Overnight Celebrity and rapper JerryTheBlack. VMS: What do you want your audience to feel and experience at one of your live shows. TYMAY: I want them to feel the passion and emotion behind my words.
