The irony of me copying this caption from Reddit 😂 but this does explain it best, and check this out you guys - I’m citing my source. Try it sometime.
Brie’s and Franco’s agents were sent the script for Better Half for the two to star in back in 2020, they turned it down, and the film was made without them in 2023. Not only does this film take the plot, dialogue, and imagery from the original film, but both films end with the main characters playing the song “2 Become 1” off of the Spice Girls album Spiceworld while accepting the merge.
The thing is, “2 Become 1” isn’t actually on that album - the original filmmakers made a mistake, and the new filmmakers ended up copying that mistake - the same way someone would get caught for cheating on a test.

“kangaroo jack” is a pretty cut and dry shit sandwich of a kids movie with one of the most interesting behind the scenes stories i’ve ever heard in any film. it was originally written and filmed as an r-rated mob comedy called “down and under” with a ton of drugs, sex, and violence. a bunch of the actors claim it was one of their favorite scripts they’ve ever read. shit, i mean they got the legendary christopher walken to sign on to play the villain, it couldnt have been that bad. when the test screenings weren’t going too well, the higher ups realized this movie “snow dogs” had recently made a bunch of money with a cgi dream sequence strategically put in the trailer, the studio opted for the ol bait and switch. they cut out all the swearing, sex, drugs, and violence, shoehorned in a cgi rapping kangaroo dream sequence, and marketed it for kids. the talking kangaroo was so prominent in the trailers, i remember being a kid and being confused when the kangaroo didn’t talk at all. look, all i’m saying is either make a talking kangaroo movie, or a raunchy adult comedy. you can’t have your kangaroo and eat it too, or whatever the saying is. way too much studio interference to give this one a rating. ?/10 📹: @polejom
Thanks for being such a good sport about this joke @yovancomedy (not sure if he wants to beat my ass yet) - also, I’ve had 3 horrifying nightmares so far involving the girl version of yovan that grok spit out
When I heard “keeper” was getting bad reviews, I hid from it, and lied to myself that everyone was wrong. It looked so amazing. And longlegs is my favorite film of all time. I didn’t really enjoy the monkey, but I finally buckled down and removed my rose colored glasses, and yeah. Unfortunately, large chunks of this movie blow. So many horror movies nowadays are smart, thoughtful, profound metaphors for tragedies in life. The babadook and the substance come to mind, with the former being a metaphor for holding onto grief until it poisons you, and the latter being a metaphor for impossibly high female beauty standards and dr*g use. This movie is a metaphor for…. Not wanting to be a side piece? What are we even doing here? The script is so bad in some parts. the kind of bad where you think to yourself, “who says something like that?” And it’s not because *SPOILERS* a character has a 200 year old dialect. It’s because the script writer, is not fuckin good at his job. And that’s the way she goes sometimes. 5/10 **Guest appearances: @crisbean (whynotskate) & @jeffstevens (Mr. Stay)
