We are super excited to announce our Summer 2026 show @beancycleroasters . When thinking about what we wanted to do this summer, we knew we wanted to put on a big, exciting show, so to do that we are going SMALL! Featuring primarily small works will allow us to show more work at a time, from more artists at a time, than we are typically able to do during our standard programming, plus it’s fun! The deets:
🌷Open to artists of all ages and experiences based in Northern Colorado
🌷We are looking for ready-to-hang work under approximately 9X12 inches, slightly larger works may be considered since ‘small’ is subjective-we want to see what is ‘small’ by the standards of YOUR practice!
🌷All mediums and subjects welcome

We are in search of artists who are interested in displaying their work at @beancycleroasters beginning sometime in August!
We are currently only looking for works that can be hung independently, such as framed prints, works on canvas, etc. Beyond that, we welcome all styles, mediums, and types of artists! If you are interested, please send us an email with some pictures/info about your work.

So excited to have our show open this Saturday @halfcrowncreative from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. over 30 artists help collaborate on creating a deck of cards together even though we never all sat down in the same room! Some of the folks who joined in are old friends and some are artists I have never met but either found out about the project through word of mouth or dropped in my gallery space during my residency last fall. We will have all of the art on display as well as decks of cards to purchase. A huge thank you to everyone who participated and I cannot wait to celebrate with you all
This month in the gallery we are very excited to be hosting Peyton Farnum’s BFA Capstone Exhibition. Come check it out before the end of May!
“Back From Burnout” is a multi-media presentation of artistic resistance through the obstacles of daily life. Amidst the chaos of society, art was supposed to provide an outlet for worldly frustrations. So why was making art so hard? A myriad of factors led artist Peyton Farnum to a seemingly immovable state of compassion fatigue, limiting her creativity and ability to do what she loves. In facing the weight of expectations from others, an arthritis diagnosis, mental health fluctuations, and a major state of burnout, art became a chore. An assignment. A thing to just “get done”. With these obstacles in mind, Peyton explores the complexity of hardship in the artist/human experience, in hopes of learning how to fall in love with creating once more. “Back from Burnout” is a story of acknowledgment, acceptance, and optimism.

We are excited to be hosting an art supply swap on Friday, October 20! The event will be at our space at 144 N. College (inside the bean cycle) from 5-7PM. Bring some stuff you aren’t using anymore, swing by to pick up something new, or do both!
Items you can bring to the swap:
-Traditional Art Supplies (ie. pencils/paint/paper/clay/etc) ✏️ 🎨
-Craftier Items (yarn/coloring books/stickers/“kids” art supplies) 🖍️
-Art-Adjacent Items (small frames/art focused books) 📘
Things we ask you leave at home:
-Half-finished projects 📝
-Supplies that are not in reasonably useable condition (ie. paint tube with just a tiny bit left in it) 🗑️
-Large/bulky items (We have limited means to store/transport left behind items-if it can’t fit in a box please leave it at home. The exception to this is big but lightweight items, such as pads of paper) 🪜
-Finished Artwork (ie. A painting you made 4 years ago that you don’t vibe with and want gone) 🖼️
Any leftover items will be donated, and if anything particularly extra fun is left behind we will post it up for grabs on our story before doing so. You don’t have to bring items in order to take items, or vice versa. This is a FREE event, and not an opportunity to sell work/supplies. Come hang out, buy a coffee from our pals @beancycleroasters and stock your studio!
