Accepting Pain with Mads Pedersen The very first episode of @half.wheeling takes a deep dive into Mads Pedersen’s painful comeback. After crashing on the first race day on February 4, 2026 - suffering a broken collarbone and a fractured wrist - Pedersen returns against the odds to deliver an extraordinary spring campaign, finishing top 10 in every classic and top 7 in all three Monuments he contested. This episode unfolds as a documentary-style podcast and montage, where host Anders Mielke follows Pedersen and Lidl-Trek from the day after the Tour of Flanders to the defining moment of the spring - Pedersen’s dream race - Paris-Roubaix. With special thanks to @eurosportcykling @tntsportscycling for race commentary from Paris-Roubaix, and to @lidltrek and @pedersen__mads for their access and trust. Out now in your podcast app (Spotify, Apple etc). There’s a new cycling podcast in town. “Have you ever thought about doing a cycling podcast in English?” I’ve been asked that question a lot. And honestly, I’ve asked myself the same thing many times. I know how to make a cycling podcast. It all started back in 2018, while I was backpacking in the Colombian Andes, when the idea for my Danish podcast @forhjulslir was born. It was only meant to be a small stepping stone and something for my CV. Seven years, 546 episodes, and 4 million streams later. It became so much more. It became my baby. My way into cycling. I owe everything to @forhjulslir and to the listeners. It led to my dream job. Took me from the podcast mic to the Eurosport mic, and to countless experiences and conversations with some of the biggest Danish riders - past and present. But it was all in Danish. So can I do it in English? Will people like my Danglish? Will it work? Those questions always came up. But in the end, one thing won: my passion for cycling. So, dear cycling world, I know you already have plenty of podcasts but here’s a new one. It’s called Half Wheeling - of course, the same name as my Danish original. A podcast about cycling - but more importantly, about the people behind it. The riders in the peloton and the characters that make this sport what it is. Stories, conversations, insights - and a few laughs along the way. The first episode, “Accepting Pain with Mads Pedersen”, is out now on Spotify and Apple Podcast. I hope you’ll give it a listen. We’re a bit nervous (and very excited). Let’s go. And to all my Danish listeners - don’t worry. @forhjulslir continues. @half.wheeling is just the international cousin that doesn’t speak Danish 😉 Artwork by the one and only @kimsivertjensen 🎨 A big thanks to @eurosportcykling @tntsportscycling for the support and trust and to @lidltrek @pedersen__mads for the access and belief in the very first episode. 📸 @croaam @sirbruunster @sune_kaer
