Twas the night before the deadline, and at the Haley Architecture house, Not a creature was stirring, except for the computer mouse.
The bedrooms and bathrooms were laid out with care,
The kitchen and pantry designs were nearly there;
I double-checked spaces were right for king beds;
And made sure the exterior would be sure to turn heads;
The views and the family and the pets kept in mind,
Control, alt, delete just a couple of times,
When outside my office there arose such a clatter,
I sprang from my desk chair to see what was the matter.
Away to the window I flew like a flash,
Tore open the shutters and threw up the sash.
When what to my wondering eyes did appear,
But a County Plan Reviewer had just hit a deer.
I went to his aid and helped call triple A,
And told him remember my kindness as he issued permits next day.
But I heard him exclaim, as he drove out of sight—

Can’t believe it’s been a year since we wrapped this one! I haven’t shared many photos of this Selbyville waterfront home, but it’s one of my favorites — a classic coastal design for two wonderful clients settling into retirement life by the bay. I especially love the choice to use the gunmetal color windows and doors by Marvin 🤩 @themarvinbrand
