Water running through my face (1), 2025
A summer project with Yizhuo Zhao & Yinga Sa.
The work emerges from deeply personal emotion, yet speaks in a language that resists clarity—like a feeling too vast for words. When the urge to cry arrives, one steps into the shower. Water pours down, touching the hair, the eyes, the mouth. The feeling softens. But are they the same? Perhaps it’s just water running down the face. These images exist in that uncertainty—where inner states blur with the physical world, and stillness becomes a quiet space for release, reflection, and presence.
Their Monologue (1), 2025
Each piece in the series symbolizes a mundane action with food. I deconstructed, reorganized, and stacked them with intention. In this world, food is the protagonist, but through the anthropomorphizing of the food, the human connection is still echoing in the space.
