There was a lot of mixed feelings online and I was a bit skeptical trying it incase I didn’t like it but i can honestly say it was SO GOOD!!! I think if you’re Bengali you’d definitely appreciate the flavours though I can understand why some may say it’s an acquired taste.
If you want to try something a little sweet and spicy then I would 1000% recommend this place.

#Invite If you’re in or around Walsall I would definitely recommend @sultans_walsall 🤤 Collab however I always make it clear these would be my honest opinions which is why I would genuinely recommend this place. I visited here in 2021 and from my messages seemed to have really enjoyed it which is why I went back in 2025 and I’m glad I did.

Punjabi small tawa £44.95 (chicken & meat sheekh kebab, chops, chicken wings, masala fries, malai tikka, chicken or meat Punjabi, 2 roti & 1 naan - 2 people) could easily feed 3-4 people. The wings and the chops were 10/10
1/2 chicken butt Karahi £25 - 8.5/10
1/2 lamb butt karahi £27 - wasn’t my fave but others on the table loved it so - 7/10
Chicken tikka biryani £12.95 best biryani I’ve had in so long - 10000/10 🤤
Overall food and customer service was amazing would definitely suggest visiting.

What we ordered:
Shrimp platter + jug + 2 sides: £50
Creamy Red Soup + Smokey Chicken Wings + Harbour Halloumi Bites: £20 (3 starters for £20)
Captains Choice: £55 (for one)
The shrimp platter which is £50 for £50 shrimps, jug of drink and 2 sides (Tuesdays & Thursdays) was 1000% worth it and dare I say maybe even better than ShrimpShack 👀
The spice level was was perfection along with the wings and halloumi bites. Only thing I wasn’t too much of a fan of was the Captains Choice which I would’ve preferred spicier but I know some of you guys would love the flavour.
The wait time did take a while HOWEVER it was school holidays and they had the offer on so it was expected. The customer service and team were amazing.

Tenders were good but I wasn’t much of a fan of the wings … tasted like the kfc ones you either love it or don’t … wasn’t for me. Huge portion and the sauces make it better.
Regular Mac & Cheese: 4/10

Tasted of the Tesco packet type of ones but wasn’t bad 😂 just wasn’t amazing
White Chocolate & Raspberry Shake: 100/10
Price: (upgrade with meal +£3 on its own I think £6)

Overall a great place to visit if you’re in the area. There is parking nearby making it really convenient. Customer service was amazing the shift manager (forgot his name!) was great and if you go GET THE REAPER SAUCE 🔥 100000/10

I grabbed the bun platter which came with any burger, fully loaded fries, 2 wings, 2 prawns, garlic bread and a drink which came to £19.
I got the Steak Pesto Burger (forgot the actual name!) with mango lime wings and dynamite prawns and everything was 🔥 you cannot beat their fully loaded fries 🤤 Also, the portion size was huge the only thing I could finish were the fries 😅

Rice was lovely. Chicken was soft and juicy. For me personally it needed a little more flavour however, when I asked for fresh green chillies they were more than happy to get me some.
Malwah Bread: 9.4/10
This was huge and could’ve fed like 3 people 😂 tasted really good with the Fahsa
Adani Tea: 8.5/10
Not the best I’ve had but it was nice and hot to end the meal with.

Originally neither of us were a fan but after a while the taste did grow on us.
Starters:
Mixed platter (for 2) - Overall 8/10
The Chicken kebabs were juicy and flavoursome. We both felt the chicken kebab was better than the beef as it had more flavour
The Lamb chops were amazing. Cooked perfectly. It was soft and cut like butter.
Salmon was a bit dry for me but my brother really liked it and ate mine.
Chicken tika again, it was a bit dry for me but went nicely with the mint sauce
Potatoes were good. Can’t really complain.
Spring rolls were cooked nice and tasted really good. You could easily eat like 10 of them.
Wings were cooked well and was nice and juicy.
Dynamite prawns - 8.5/10
I could’ve devoured the entire thing. Absolutely loved these.
Nachos with keema - 9/10
The portion was HUGE! This could have easily served 3-4 people. If you’re ordering only a couple of starters I would definitely recommend this.
Mains:
Sirloin steak (medium) with peppercorn sauce and chips - 7.5/10
So my brother got the steak and he said it was tender and was cooked perfectly. I did try this but personally for me I’m not a fan of the steaks at Alam as much.
Salmon with mash - 9/10
The salmon was a lot better than the ones we had for the starters as it wasn’t dry. I think the salmon dishes would taste even better with a sauce as this would definitely elevate it to the next level.
Cheeseburger- 6/10
The burger was meaty and cheesy with interesting presentation (which I did like). Not the best cheeseburger I’ve had.I think it needs more seasoning to make this good. Also, the tomato right at the bottom did make the lower bun a bit soggy so maybe this could be placed on top to avoid this so it’s easier to handle.
Lamb biryani- 9.5/10
I do think sometimes with Asian dishes nothing beats home cooked curries and biryanis however, this tasted like home. This was one of my favourites of the entire night. The meat pieces were nice and tender. The flavours complimented each other so well. I would definitely recommend ordering this if you go

Haven’t done a review in a while so here we go …
Visited @3five1_restaurant in July and I’ll be honest wasn’t the best experience. We ordered the medium thawa (feeds 2) tasted okay but we ended up finding something in the food. However, they did offer to make the food again or give 10% off but at that point we wanted to just leave!
Thing is I’ve visited here before and the food and everything was amazing which is why I came again with family. This time 2 people actually got food poisoning 🤮 and got really sick!
The mojito tasted more of a soft squash than anything so it was nice but it wasn’t really a mojito.
I’m sure this isn’t the case all the time and was maybe just an off day!
