A quick VFX breakdown from Slow Village – “Körtánc”: how we built the shots, layered the textures, and fine-tuned the mood frame by frame.
The visual world of “Körtánc” is inspired by ancient Chinese shadow puppetry, an art form with centuries of history that you could even think of as an early predecessor to cinema. What interested us in this project was its reduced, handmade quality. In a visual world that keeps getting noisier, more saturated, and increasingly amplified by AI, we wanted to step back into something raw and instinctive.

We’re proud to share “Elephant”, created through an inspiring collaboration between @hajime__studio , @hodworks and @csaba.bognar at the intersection of technology and performative art.
The piece explores the blurred boundary where creation, transformation and destruction meet, framing life as a continuous act of burning away what can be burned within and around us.
Directed by Balázs Sánta, Dávid Maruscsák and Dorina Szatory in close collaboration with choreographer Adrienn Hód, the music video draws on the dancers’ movement. Captured with 28 GoPro cameras, their motion was reconstructed and translated into particles that coalesced, dispersed and reformed in a liminal space of constant change. Annihilation and rebirth unfolded in mesmerizing interplay, continuing our exploration of the dialogue between technology and human expression.

Év elején végre megjelenik a Slow Village várva-várt harmadik albuma, amelynek új dala, a Körtánc több szempontból is rendhagyó lett. A Lassúfalu-trekkeknél lassabb, dallamosabb Körtánc a hip-hop hagyományőrző karakterjegyeit mártogatja bele némi pszichedéliába, hogy aztán Zahár Fanni fuvolajátéka emelje tovább sámáni magasságokba. A dal ráadásul most az ősi kínai árnyjátékokat megidéző klipet is kapott.

We synced 27 GoPros in a dome setup to capture the dancers’ movement from every angle, then built a living 3D reconstruction in post. Those shifting forms became the backbone of the video and drive how the particle system behaves. 🔥
