First Fridays are back at Stripe! Here to kick off our first reception of 2026 is Oakland-based painter, Hailey Firstman @haileyfirstman . Hailey will be showing a collection of acrylic and oil landscape paintings that were done on salvaged canvases.
“This body of work invites creation and destruction, asking viewers to consider landscape not just as a place, but as a quiet collaborator in the stories we carry. Painted on salvaged canvases layered with marks of past artists, the series explores nature as a place of beauty, burden, and memory. Each piece carries traces of what came before, just as the land itself.”
