The Seasonal Communities designation recognizes that regions like the Cape face distinct housing challenges, and gives these communities the flexibility to pursue tailored solutions.
When the legislation is adopted locally, Cape Cod towns gain access to additional tools to:
Secure year-round occupancy restrictions
Create and administer regional year-round housing trusts
Adopt local zoning bylaws that can permit attainable year-round housing on undersized lots

On Sunday, May 31st, join Housing Assistance for three simultaneous 3-mile walks across Cape Cod in Falmouth, Hyannis, and Orleans. Music, snacks, games, giveaways, and good company included. Registration opens at noon and the walk kicks off at 1:00 PM.
