HACkS Sound Series goes deeeeeeeep - as in, Pauline Oliveros Deep Listening - with performances by Toledo, Ohio trio KBD and legendary NY
experimentalist AL MARGOLIS (founder of the Pogus Productions cassette label and label manager of Oliveros’ Deep Listening Records).
Expect an evening of incredibly nuanced electroacoustic improvisation - a chance to recalibrate your ears and expand your mind (hey, I warned you, we’re going deeeeeeeep!). A perfect sonic companion for our Paint the Sound collaborative canvas (all are invited to join in). And, we’ll have free Vegan Jambalaya for all! Come out, COME OUT!
Doors open at 6:30, music at 7. All ages are welcome! Donations are encouraged, but no one will be turned away for lack of $.

Break bread with HACkS! Submit any and all bread related artwork to be displayed in the summer ‘Bread show’ June 6th. Submit artwork of any medium or size, and share your creativity to support two local food pantries, Marshall Food Pantry & Manna Meal in Charleston.
Themes can include various types of bread, wheat, ovens, baking, bread ties & tabs, or themes of community, sustenance, and care - feel free to think outside the box and give your own interpretations of what bread might mean to you!

All together we raised a little over $900 for the Huntington Cabell Wayne Animal Shelter through direct donations, art sales, and the raffle! Thanks to everyone who came out!

Cats, cats everywhere! There will be cat art on the walls, cats playing in the gallery, cat toys and cat art up for raffle, and cat supplies collected for the shelter. Come out and buy some art and consider applying to adopt with the Cabell Wayne Animal Shelter 😻
Please bring laundry detergent, clumping cat litter and paper towels for the shelter!
