Much beloved by his family, friends, and the theatre community, Griffinn passed away due to aggressive cutaneous T-cell lymphoma on April 4.
Griffinn was a vivacious, charismatic performer and a veteran of many productions around the Seacoast.
Together with our fellow theatre makers in the area, we are joining them to dedicate today's performances in his memory.

Introducing our 2026 KIDS CAMP Directors!
Emilyrose Johnson is a director, choreographer, and performing arts educator based in the Seacoast area of Maine and New Hampshire. She is also the owner of Curtain Call Performing Arts Academy in Rollinsford, NH. Known for her dynamic storytelling through movement and her ability to inspire performers of all ages, her choreography has won several awards for her choreography at regions competitions.
In the past Emilyrose has directed/choreographed numerous camp shows at Hackmatack, and is choreographing her first MainStage show at Hackmatack this summer for Matilda!
Emilyrose is excited to direct James and the Giant Peach, Jr!

Drew Wherry is excited to be back for her second summer at Hackmatack! She is a Senior at the University of New Hampshire where she is a dual major in Musical Theatre and Secondary Theatre Education on track to get her Master’s in Elementary Education. At UNH, Drew has performed in several shows, most recently as That Grace in Junie B. Jones: The Musical and Kitty U/S/Ensemble in The Drowsy Chaperone. Through the theatre education program, she has taught at Seacoast Charter School directing an original play, Rushmore Roundup: A History Mystery.
