However, when I got here, I was half an hour after the park closed. The gate was still open so I asked the security guard if I could simply take a picture by the sign across the car park, but he forcefully said NO. I explained that I'd cycled for a whole year just to take this picture but he refused. It was so close and absolutely no hassle for him but he literally said he didn't care that this was a meaningful, once in a lifetime moment for me. I was gutted. 😭

I couldn't leave my trip on this note, I decided to try and sneak around but ended up stuck on muddy sandbags, stopped by the sea and dense mangroves. After 30 minutes, I went back to the gate and he wasn't there so I took my chance! I took the photo but as I was leaving he saw me! 😲 He wanted me to DELETE THE PHOTO, what a heartless guy!?!? Are you mad bro, can you not let me have this one moment!? He got on his moped and began chasing me but couldn't follow me through the gate, I escaped! 📸🚲💨

I managed to speak to the local Malay council today, explaining how significant this area is for overland travelers. Apparently you're ALLOWED to go to this sign, even if the park is closed, beyond the sign is off limits. I'll treasure this photo for my whole life, I sincerely hope no-one is ever refused it after their trip of a lifetime!

Our first home!! 🏡🔑 There’s a long journey ahead before we can move in, plus a skip or two of 1970’s carpet & wallpaper update, but once the house is ready we’ll finally have our own little base here in Reading 📍❤️ I’m sure there’ll be many DIY surprises but we have a family power-team, grandad’s tools, and crazy spirit 🤪 Definitely making a renovation video so we can look back on this process for years to come. Amazing long weekend down in Swanage testing ourselves on some trad routes. I lead an S (second corner) at Subluminal & @jeremywilliamsavage & Char completed their first D (High Street) lead climbs. 🙌 So good to get back out on rock in the hot sun with great company - already can’t wait for more!

Full-full attempt. SLOW MO > Landed in death dive, whoops 😂 *slap* 😂 This was the second attempt after the first one being off-axis. Because I’ve always done tricking (off-axis spins, corks, twists, etc) I find diving pretty hard to keep straight form all the way from the take-off to the landing. Just a little more flip & a little less twist would give me a solid full-full water entry. Until next time 🤘
