having spent over 10 years of my life away from home, I had the privilege of experiencing a different side of the planet, with that comes exploring a variety of cultures, food, lifestyles etc. that privilege, however, comes with the heavy weight of missing home. this leads to searching for familiarity in almost anything, but an easy way to get a taste of home has always been through food
fast forward till my move to the uae, much closer to home, coming across and I ended up working with many cool concepts that gave me a deeper insight on craftsmanship and storytelling in the world of f&b.
Through H5 cafe, my goal is to integrate both of these worlds: drinks and bites with hints of home, a small glimpse into this concept through our current pop up at @alserkalavenue , on until Feb 15 ✨

@SceneStyled #SPOTLIGHT: H5 Lab began, in some ways, with being chronically online. Before it became a pop-up concept store in Dubai offering archival designer clothing, it was a visual fixation. Saudi founder, Mustafa Al Hammad, who spent his formative years in a small town in Australia, traces that early attraction back to adolescence. “I’m a Tumblr kid,” he laughs, recalling how Japanese fashion campaigns drew him in almost instinctually.
Bringing that long-held affinity to fruition in Dubai, the store now spotlights premium Japanese designers such as Issey Miyake, Comme des Garçons, and Yohji Yamamoto, introducing a distinct vision of avant-garde fashion to the city’s landscape.
