Hello! I forgot to post an April update. Here are some seasonally appropriate photographs. Not pictured here: got to have a beach day after GDC, helped a winning hackathon team make lights that talk to each other, freaked out about employment and survival, traveled a little bit, started volunteering at a new (to me) land project, simultaneously lost/gained faith in humanity, and took a lot of walks.

This month for Capitol Hill art walk, we’re honored and excited to host Hexe Fey as our guest artist.
Hexe will be showing visual art and projection art for the evening, as well as an experimental static tuning performance to adjust our frequencies. The performance piece is aiming to start around 6:30pm.
Stop by and tell him that their work is derivative and boring. 1216 10th Ave, follow the static sounds!

Hi it's February. I will be holding down the fort at @saint.jermain 's studio upstairs at Pound studios for the next Capitol Hill artwalk on Feb 12. On display will be some of my visual and projection art and I will be doing some test runs of a performance I've been working on that will be done bigger at the next 12 Minutes Max at BASE. Come by and hang out and tell me my work is derivative and boring!

October was full of community and the change to November was surprisingly welcome. The dark isn't our enemy, it's part of the cycle. Still take that vitamin D though 🤣
Finally spooky season! Harvests of various types all through September and October. I have artwork in two shows this month: The Land Remembers at the TCMofA in Olympia opening tomorrow Fri Oct 3rd and the ACES Expo in Seattle opening Oct 17th. I'll be at as many opening nights as my health allows, hope to see you there too 🤘🔮

I took less pictures this month, or perhaps all the pictures I took were reserved for non Instagram purposes. Here are a few from August. I made it through another year somehow and celebrated my birthday with some of my favorite people.

2. Hyssop and butterfly
3. Olympia cat graffiti
4. I will care for you the way you care for me
5. Big sunflower
6. Boots and flower
A new artist has installed a piece in our little forest trail marker. This tiny gallery fits one beautiful piece of work, and each month we will be swapping it out. You can find this artwork on the trail at the entrance of the back exit towards the creek.
Here is what the artist has to say about this piece:
"While walking the yəhaw̓ land, I came across many plants, but none called to me like a metal planter where small strawberry plants—without berries—were growing. Even without their fruit, the strawberry plant promises abundance and sweetness, even if we have to wait another year for it to grow."
About the Artist:
Hexe Fey (he/they) is a transmasculine Oglala Lakota interdisciplinary mover, artist, curator, glitch user, and community harm reductionist. Hexe is the creator of the video game Cursed Task, which explores the struggle of writing artist bios.
July was full of bounty from the dirt and the land and the community. Thank you to everyone who supported my work and various projects, especially @yehawshow for curating a new piece from me. (Not pictured here, I'll get some decent shots later in the month). Stay tuned for August and further collabs and shows 💫😎
