Hex P remains a house music aficionado, though her selections span from soulful techno to groovy electro, to the notorious leftfield. breakcheck is a montreal based producer and DJ, known among those in the know for the intoxicating aural brew she distills from her cauldron of blends and mixtures. A devout student practicing in the art of chaos, her sonic mischief keeps crowds guessing and dancers locked. Rooted in Montreal’s DIY music scene, Joni blends disco, house, and raw old-school grooves into a sound built for a hot dancefloor. Boyz II Them: the collaborative project between DJs @ageless_adab and @russellelbutler .Launched with a kinship for deep, bass heavy tunes, Butler and adab endeavor unite to explore the evolving extensions of Black sound by and for Black Trans people. Spanning the histories of House, Hip Hop, Dub, and Jazz, Boyz II Them bring a multitimbral percussive magic to sound systems across the United States. Inspiration came from recent snowstorms, ice storms, wind storms, and cozy indoor comforts throughout it all. I’ve been listening to a lot of ambient music lately and tried to layer that in with some signature Hex P grooves and moves, so that listeners can hear what im all about while also getting a taste of where im at right now. about the DJ: Hex P plays from the heart. Still a house music aficionado at heart, Hex P loves to channel her inner detective when DJing, taking clues from the moods around her to throw in unexpected plot twists.
