HDC Presents: Ana Rs + Hoppa & Marteka Fair Defining the modern European sound, Ana Rs plays on the cutting edge of techno. With multiple releases on esteemed labels such as Symbolism, Semantica, Float Records, and 47, her compositions embody a dark, percussive sound that resonates through otherworldly catacombs. With notable performances at Tresor and RSO, the now Berlin-based Ana Rs makes her Washington, D.C. debut with a three-hour exhibition. Alongside: Hoppa & Marteka Fair return to HDC for extended, uncompromising performances. Hoppa stands as one of D.C.’s most poised selectors. With a taste for deep and distinctive tools, Hoppa rejoins HDC for a special extended set. Marteka Fair is one of North America’s leading techno producers. Her productions carry weight without pretense. Fair has performed at Tresor, Flash, FORMA Festival (with her project Liminal Space), Slingshot Festival, and The Great Beyond. Providing the soundtrack for her collaborative project Liminal Space, Marteka Fair continues to explore the fundamentals of techno beyond auditory stimuli. Come as you are. Hoppa is a Washington D.C. - based DJ and resident of the @undertone_music record label. With a “less is more” mindset, he curates hypnotic, groove-driven sets designed to draw dancers into a deeper, more immersive headspace. Drawing inspiration from the iconic techno scenes of Berlin and Amsterdam—as well as the underground movements of NYC, LA, and his home city of DC—Hoppa channels a global perspective into his sound. Years spent absorbing these influential scenes have shaped a unique musical vision: one focused on subtle progression, raw energy, and atmosphere. As a resident of the Undertone record label, he has had the opportunity to to be able to play across a range of venues throughout Washington D.C., carving out a presence in the city’s underground scene while adapting his sets to both intimate spaces and larger club environments. Hoppa’s sets resonate across dance floors, connecting with both seasoned heads and newcomers alike. Our favorite city selectors join for an all-night bash of pure, dynamic House, expressive Techno, and bouncy Eurobeat. From 23:00 till the sun nearly rises, a journey of true club sounds will pump through the noble Martin Audio system provided by Eklektrik Elektrik. C0M3T makes his club debut with a crate of Eurobeat reminiscent of the old days. His refined and classic selections will bring the night to a close with a bang. Frankie P. is DC’s groovy pulse. A student of the craft, his House selections represent the genre’s foundations while pushing forward into new, four-on-the-floor dimensions. A resident of Therapy Sounds, Frankie P. frequents the grooviest establishments in our city. He’ll warm up the floor for ya. There are few as dynamic and focused as Hoppa. His refined curatorial sense brings out the finest Chicago House and rawest hypnotic Techno. The acid, lyrical, and rhythmic crossovers are Hoppa’s domain.
