Bachata Baile con mi amor at Vibras Social 🩷 🌸 Over the last couple months, I’ve been training bachata with more intention and in a way starting all over from scratch. Even though I’ve been in my dance journey for 3.5 years now, I’ve realized I wasn’t even taught the basics properly. Something that’s often overlooked is the importance of the basic steps, you can’t do the “cool moves” or at least be an intermediate dancer without clean basics. This is the part that honestly most dancers struggle with, including myself. Most dancers want to race to the top, but in reality, they’re often missing the key component. In this way, I’ve been rediscovering myself through dance, and starting over again with a new mindset and encouragement. Time of course helps with improvements, but it really comes down to intentions, determination to train and finding the right people to help you along the way. This has also sparked in me more motivation to continue my zouk journey in the same spirit. A big shoutout to my boyfriend @mpuchuleen for teaching me the ropes and having patience with me, it’s definitely been quite a journey and I still have so much to learn. Thanks for those who I share dances with, you all help me to improve, enjoy and express my dances in a new way✨🫶 Thanks so much @dre.shotz for this lovely shot 🙏

Dear 2025, Thank you for pushing me to grow, to stay patient, to continue trusting myself even when I felt lost at times, to find excitement in new adventures, to surround myself with love from friends and family, for keeping me healthy, and thank you for bringing @mpuchuleen into my life. Words can’t describe how thankful I am for this community. I didn’t know how much my life would change after @kt.hett introduced me to my first bachata class at @azucargmu almost three years ago. I had no idea dance would become such a big part of my life now, teach me how to connect with others more deeply, pick me back up from my lowest, bring me confidence and love within myself and most importantly build my community. When I moved to Houston, I didn’t know anyone, but I found my happiness and safe space through my dance family❤️ This past weekend was so special with each of you, and I am so grateful for you all. I am also proud of myself for getting out of my comfort zone and competing in my first J&J. I had so much fun and I never thought I’d end up in the finals dancing with @keegan_the_bigmac , thanks for making it a memorable one🫶 My heart is so full🤍 Here are some of my favorite moments from this past weekend @dallaszouklambadafestival .
