My cousin is a doctor!
This weekend is going to be a special one! My cousin @thefirstnoellllee is making history graduating as the First Black student to match for Plastic Surgery from the University of Toledo College of Medicine! Came up here early to take her grad pictures before the big day tomorrow!

Last year, I started a content series focused on teaching people how to create using the devices they already had. Somewhere in that process, the idea to teach a full content workshop came to me. I thought it would happen then, but days turned into weeks and weeks turned into months. Before I knew it, a year had passed and I had completely forgotten about it. Then last week, the opportunity came back around.
Last week I had the opportunity to teach my first content workshop and I’m not gonna lie, I was nervous going into it. I didn’t fully know what I was going to say, how it would be received, or if everything would come together the way I envisioned.
But the moment we started, everything flowed.
We talked content creation in general, the foundations of content, and social media strategy. We also got into workflow, planning, editing, and posting strategies. It even led into conversations around podcasting because some of the participants were interested in getting started. Like I said, I was extremely nervous, but the crazy part is I created a 19-slide presentation and we barely got through half of it. So there will definitely be a part two with this group.
All the years of learning, creating, experimenting, and working in this space came together in a way that made it clear this is exactly where I’m supposed to be. I spent a lot of time in prayer leading up to it and once it began, it all made sense.
I’m grateful for the participants who showed up and poured into the experience. Thank you for your time, your attention, and your feedback meant everything to me.
Now I’m ready to teach.
