It’s the big one you’ve been waiting for! The notorious cult phenomenon that is, Tommy Wiseau’s, The Room (2003), often described as “the Citizen Kane of Bad Movies”, or, as Rotten Tomatoes puts it ”A bona fide classic of midnight cinema, Tommy Wiseau’s misguided masterpiece subverts the rules of filmmaking with a boundless enthusiasm that renders such mundanities as acting, screenwriting, and cinematography utterly irrelevant. You will never see a football the same way again.” The Room is unavailable on any streaming services so don’t miss the rare screening! The event is free but PLEASE sign up on my Eventbrite page in my bio if you wanna come. Things will kick off at 7.30pm at the Fort Road Hotel Bar with an introduction by me, Guy Oliver

Bad Movie Club returns this Wednesday 6th May with The Garbage Pail Kids Movie (1987) A live action adaptation of the popular and beloved trading card series, The Garbage Pail Kids Movie holds a 0% rating on Rotten Tomatoes and the tied lowest score ever on Metacritic. The film is intended as a kids movie but often described as nightmarish and grotesque in all the wrong ways. The puppetry and “humour” of the film alone causes the film to be acurately described as horrific! Things will kick off at 7.30 at the Fort Road Hotel Bar with an introduction by me, Guy Oliver.

Big News! Team Quench are fundraising for a new season of programming to begin in May and we need your support… Where Is My Mind? Is a group exhibition of artists that identify as having mental health challenges moving away from cliches of the tortured artist we’ll explore how we use our practices to weather the storm, how we pause when we need to and share what works for us through a series of artists talks, a publication and exhibition. Please head to the Spacehive page for the full details and help us by getting the word out of the coming weeks. We want to thank you for being part of this journey so there are thank you gifts available when you support check out the slides for details! We can’t wait to share more with you over the next few weeks. 🧠 x @quenchgallery
