More frames from @littlebird.series with an overwhelming 19 nominations for CSA awards @thecdnacademy Continually proud of what this show has done. Can’t state how fortunate I am to have been part of it. Doing the work is one thing, the talented people I get to learn with and from is what keeps me inspired. This was that show. Certainly took perseverance. But that was because we all cared so much about it. Big shout to David Brisbin and the Art team. With them we share so much of the visual experience on this show and with everyone involved. Especially fellow nominees @pinkclaudinesauve #ellemáijátailfeathers @thezoehopkins @jenniferpodemski

Really beyond honoured to be nominated for a CSA @thecdnacademy for @littlebird.series with such incredible artists across all aspects. I would call all these family style awards. We all share part in it as a whole. @jenniferpodemski @hannahmoscovitch @ellemaijatailfeathers @thezoehopkins @pinkclaudinesauve

@littlebird.series episode one is out now in Canada on @aptnlumi and @cravecanada . I am honoured to have been part of this important and very often untold story. The Sixties Scoop was a period in which a series of policies were enacted in Canada that enabled child welfare authorities to take, or "scoop up," Indigenous children from their families for placement in foster homes, from which they would be adopted by white families. This forced fragmentation of Indigenous communities is an act of violence that continues to affect the lives of so many to this day. Working on this show has been one of those rare opportunities to engage in truly meaningful storytelling, I am immensely grateful to have been amongst such incredible artists and collaborators.

MAID (clearly I am delayed posting about this as the show has been out for weeks) I am so fortunate my friend Q asked if I would consider a journey with her on this show. Little did I know that I was about to meet and collaborate with so many unbelievably lovely and talented people. My first episodic project and I learned so much. Thank you @qgar for leading out the pilot and also trusting me to be with you while you directed an amazing episode. Huge thanks and admiration for @mollysmithmetzler @kamackey @margaretqualley @therealnickrobinson @nzingbling @hedofthebloom and the entire rest of the cast and crew. @luckychapentertainment @johnwellsproductions And my dearest @helen.shaver featured in the last photo from our scout. Big shout to the incredible crew I was welcomed into in BC. @netflix @panavisionofficial

I am in disbelief to have been honoured with the @canadiancinematographer award for Best Theatrical Feature Film yesterday for our film Let Him Go @lethimgomovie Much love to director Tom Bezucha @bazooks for having me with him on the film. Huge thank you to producers Paula Mazur @themazurkaplan and everyone at @focusfeatures So grateful for the team at @artistry.agency especially @jkole and @lynnecrichardson @damienvdc is a colour grading artist and pleasure to work with. Miss working with the amazing Calgary crew. Thanks to everyone for having me there. The film wouldn’t have looked so good if it weren’t for @smithbilt Always appreciate my friend @craigjewell_ who nailed it on focus. And of course the collaboration with @panavisionofficial and @jerrypapernick whose wealth of knowledge I always trust and learn from. The picture at the end is when we realised we had exceeded the negative angle limit by two degrees on the Giraffe crane and I told our key grip John I wouldn’t tell anyone. #cscawards2021
