Throw back Thursday. “The Swingin’ Beach Pad,” was a house that I rented on Clearwater Beach for over 25 years. It was a party house in a tony neighborhood. A big Thanks to my friend @brooklynpatrick for finding this composite photo that he took shortly before I moved out. I gave away everything in the photo except for the “Girls” sign that I removed from a famous strip club as they were bulldozing it. 😆
These sunsets are dedicated in loving memory of Buzzy Sylvester, his surviving wife Nancy, (my closest cousin) and his daughters Michele and Diana and their beautiful families. I've spent almost every Christmas in Pittsburgh with my Mother and my favorite cousins since moving to Florida forty years ago. I'm shattered by their loss. There will never be another Buzzy. Back in the day, Buzzy was cool before people even used the word "cool," tooling around town on his motorcycle and in his 1968 Cadillac convertible, which he still owned. He and Nancy took over and ran "Sheik's," his father's bar, which was one of the first bars in the area to have a liquor license after prohibition. A visit to Sheik's for lunch was always at the top of my bucket list, whenever I went home to Pittsburgh for a visit. Lots of love and prayers to Nancy, the Hanks’ and the Jacoby's. 🙏🏻❤️
Throwback Thursday! This was my old condo in 2009/2010. It was my tribute to the Milk Bar in “The Clockwork Orange.” The “Girls” sign was from a famous Tampa strip club. I removed it while a man was actively bulldozing the building.😂The club was called the “Tanga Lounge,” and I have the Tanga letters as well, but they are massive.😎
