Callous Faulter, the new solo venture from J Angus (ex-Greytomb, Paroxysmal Cavitation), has revealed the opening track from the upcoming EP with the premiere of “The Isolationist” via Heavy Blog Is Heavy.
Heavy Blog Is Heavy praised the track saying: “Today, we take a first glimpse at the despair with ‘The Isolationist,’ a 17-minute monstrosity that ebbs and flows with the grief and anger of marathon pain. Maddening, furious crescendos flood into haunted, almost romantic, interludes of beautiful sadness, wrapping the psyche in a devastating blanket of bleak atmospheres and unrelenting misery.”
Callous Faulter's self-titled debut EP will be released on June 1st via Gutter Prince Cabal.

The album evokes the sound of rain from a dismal sky, hitting the grey concrete and bringing the decay of the city into stark relief as paranoia and isolation take hold. There is beauty to be found in moments of stillness between the drops followed by a wash of ugliness and raw emotion that comes flooding through with bitter intensity.
Modern life is hell and Callous Faulter provide the soundtrack.
