Gutter is London's sell-out underground comedy night, making its Fringe premiere.
Hosted by a vicious bouffon troupe – 'a little bit nasty' (Philippe Gaulier) – who crawl out of a bin to run the show. A world of clowning, drag and alternative cabaret, with a rotating line-up of stand-out and emerging performers. Each night draws the audience in, then insidiously turns on them.

Brrrrrrgggghhhhhhh, carving its way through the city’s sewers, munching on fat bergs like a rampant pac-man, the Gutter bin is en route from the bowels of Bermondsey to the slime of Soho. It was an emotional departure from The Pen Theatre, where we birthed the first Gutter 18 months ago. But now those tears become another ingredient in our sacred bin juice, fuelling our move across the river. Add some waste from the clinics, rancid Thames water and a line-up to set your face on fire = Gutter Soho Smoothie 🥤
Come and play with us on June 5th at 10.15pm as we return Soho to its rightful owners. Bring your friends, enemies, and emergency contacts. This is the start of a bowel movement. Drum roll please! 🥁

Brought to you by the incomparable Will Spence @willjpspence called “funny” by both his mum and himself so it must be true. Paulina Lenoir studied product design at Central Saint Martins and then decided to become a clown. Her father, who is an accomplished architect, did not like this at first but has grown to accept it. Her mother is happy as long as she’s happy. She is currently dreaming of becoming a carpenter.

Release the sleaze! Fresh from the tunnels under the Virgin Islands comes Man O’Sphere — a conspiracy-guzzling, entitlement-breathing specimen. Or… a man with a heart of gold who just wants to make your wife a nice cup of sleepy tea.
Peta Lily is an award-winning performer, director and teacher, and a pioneer of Dark Clown. Her acclaimed solo shows include Wendy Darling, Beg, Topless, Midriff, Invocation, Chastity Belt and Imperfection.
Trained with Jacques Lecoq and Philippe Gaulier, she blends clown, movement and emotional depth, and has spent over 30 years shaping bold, fearless performers.
