New track “Nija Funk” - An unforgettable moment of magic was captured one late night session in Paris. With the legend @guimbatamba 🇲🇱🎸
Guimba is a virtuoso Malian guitarist who has played with some very important artists, from Oumou Samgare and Salif Keita to St Germain. We first met working on the Amadou and Mariam album. This night we tapped into something special. I crafted a beat and he improvised a mesmerising performance that captured generations of music and Soul.
I feel like an interpreter of sound - only to create a space and moment for Guimba to express his musicality and heritage. So grateful to these experiences that will stay with me forever.
