That’s a wrap at @iffigoa 🎬 HOW TO TALK AUSTRALIANS has just come off a strong run at NFDC Waves Film Bazaar and IFFI – International Film Festival of India, Goa, closing with a second gala screening on Tuesday 25th for the CMOT Film Students of India at INOX. We screened to 300+ film students as part of the CMOT program, followed by a standing ovation and a deep-dive Q&A on story, performance and production workflow. Big thanks to our executive producers, partners, cast and crew for getting this feature from script to screen. India is officially “in love” with this film! #HowToTalkAustralians #FeatureFilm #IFFI #FilmBazaar #Goa #AustralianFilm #IndieFilm #FilmFestival #CMOT #Filmmaking

NEW WORK — “Married to It” for STIHL Directed by Edwin McGill | Produced by Jason Byrne They say when you know, you know. Steve’s found the one. She’s reliable. Powerful. Low-maintenance. Always ready to go when he is. So when it came time to make it official… he did what any bloke in love would do — he took her to church. 👀💒 And when the minister finally said the words — “You may … power her up.” — well, sparks flew. ⚡️ A cheeky take on the deep bond between a gardener and their beloved tools — for those who truly are married to it. Meet Ahmad — filmmaker, arrived 2022 via Talent Beyond Boundaries Backed by Jason Byrne and the Guilty team, Ahmad received a two-year work-visa sponsorship to build his career in Australia—opening doors to sets, collaborators, and stability for his family (including schooling for his daughters). Early practical support from CRSA helped him land on his feet. We asked Ahmad about his experience so far, and here are some of his thoughts… How did your career in film start? “I heard a radio ad for an acting course. My heart raced. I wrote down the number and went.” Choosing the path? “After years across TV roles, I knew I wanted to write and direct fiction about social issues.” Early pride? “We mentored six Afghan kids to make shorts for the Fraternity Cup in France—seeing their films screen was unforgettable.” Tell us about arriving in Australia? “The kindness shocked me—Jason and volunteers helped with housing, banks, rentals, even moving furniture.” What was your turning point here? “Making my short Echoes with Guilty’s support—I finally felt, ‘I belong here as a filmmaker.’” What's now + next? “Leveling up (especially in sound), writing a new short on belonging, and building community.” Open to: collaboration, introductions — DM to connect. #TalentBeyondBoundaries #GuiltyContent #CRSA #AfghanFilmmaker #MelbourneFilm

🎬 TONY ROGERS' TOP TEN — PART 1 🎬 It’s impossible to sum up Tony Rogers’ career in 10 ads — but we gave it a red-hot crack anyway. With a signature blend of comedic realism, brilliant casting, and characters you don’t forget in a hurry, Tony’s work has helped define the tone of Australian advertising (and occasionally derail it in the best way possible). So we’re celebrating the ads that built the myth — a two-part dive into some of his most iconic, inventive, and unforgettable commercial work. ⚡️ Part 1: "The Boys" BONDS (Clemenger BBDO Melbourne) "Sunnies" AAMI (Ogilvy Melbourne) "FWEE for FWEE" HBA INSURANCE (Clemenger BBDO Melbourne) "Headphone Havoc" EBAY POSTIES (CHEP Sydney) "Kebab" VB (George Patterson Bates) ⚡️ Part 2 coming soon From Fwee for Fwee to Sushi, from Bonds “Boys” to Rhonda. Enjoy the ride.

Rohan Timlock & Jason Byrne – Guilty Since 1995 These two first crossed paths in 95’ at a Melbourne Fashion Week party – the kind with questionable outfits and even more questionable dance moves. Not long after, they found themselves working together at The Film Business, where Jason was the in-house Production Manager and Rohan was producing for Clayton Jacobson. Let’s just say… all the appropriate industry skullduggery ensued. Fast forward to 2012, Guilty Content was born. Rohan recalls: “Jason put forward a shortlist of names… a lot were terrible, and Guilty was not.” Since then, they’ve delivered countless campaigns, survived (and hosted) 13 legendary Guilty Christmas Parties, and kept the wheels turning with just the right ratio of professional shenanigans. The moral of the story? If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. Just keep making good work… and the occasional mischief. #GuiltyContent #productionlegends #sincethe90s

What’s happening this week @guilty_content ? Jason Byrne and Leo Faber are teaming up on a new slate of documentaries, bringing their shared passion for storytelling to @melbfilmfest 37ºSouth Market. Plenty of caffeine, big ideas, and a stack of promising projects in the mix — these two are deep in conversation, shaping projects we can’t wait to see come to life. Early days, but when these minds meet, something interesting always follows. #MIFF2025 #37SouthMarket #documentarydevelopment #guiltycontent #creativecollab

Director. Cinematographer. Visual storyteller with a camera in one hand and intuition in the other. Before stepping behind the lens as a director, @christopher_tovo built an award-winning career as a commercial photographer — and you can see it in every frame. Whether he’s shooting legends like Rod Laver or tradies in the trenches, Chris brings a rare depth and humanity to his work. His visuals don’t just look good — they feel honest. Swipe for Tovo’s Top 5 picks — a collection of powerful, beautifully crafted stories from the last decade: Tennis Australia - Closer VB - Solar Fuso - All Day DePaul University T'Gallant - Free To Be AWARDS: Finalist – One Show NYC Grand Clio – "Mark of a Champion" MADC – Best Director & DOP (AEG Series) Tovo’s work is rooted in honesty, craft and connection — from Melbourne streets to international sets. GUILTY SECRET'S #001 Every crew has a breaking point. Ours just happens to be about… 4:17pm. Right when energy dips and people start staring blankly into middle distance, the Guilty potato cake makes its entrance — hot, crispy, golden, morally questionable. It’s not official policy. It’s not on the call sheet. But it’s tradition. And honestly? It saves lives. (Maybe not medically, but definitely emotionally.) Here’s to the 4pm deep-fry. Long may she reign.
