Our pottery classes and one off workshops are THE place to try your hand at creating something magical.
Using some mud (clay), water and a wheel, you will be shown the basics of making on the potters wheel and leave having made something special that will last forever.
We're based in the center of Guildford, 1 min walk from the train station, 2 minutes from the bus station and with plenty of parking right by the studio.

THE WALLED GARDEN is launching a new series of creative classes set within the calm of the garden.
These sessions are designed to reconnect people with craft, materials and the seasons, guided by talented makers and artists.
Our first ever Creative Club programme brings together three distinctive practices @celesterosedesign , @studio.braemar , @guildford_pottery , each offering a different way to slow down, learn something new and create by hand.

We’re teaming up with Adio Fok (@adioct ) for a one-off Fai Chun Calligraphy & Clay workshop at Guildford Pottery.
Think:
red paper, lucky phrases, calm vibes, Japanese tea, and getting your hands on some clay.
You’ll:
– learn simple Chinese numbers + lucky phrases
– create 2–3 traditional Fai Chun to take home
– choose a handmade wheel-thrown cup
– cut and decorate your own clay coaster with calligraphy
– leave us to glaze + fire it (ready to collect in about a week)
No experience needed. Just curiosity and a willingness to slow down for a couple of hours.

Guildford Pottery are opening their new exhibition, Glow in the Dark, this Wednesday!

About the artists:
Paul Wheeler is a multi-talented ceramicist who teaches at university level and produces work for TV and film productions.
Chi Wing Choi was born and raised in Hong Kong; with a deep passion for the UK, her practice explores the connections between the two places.
