Hello Everyone🩷✨ It's about time I've come on here and "introduced" myself. For those of you who are OG clients, new followers, or came to visit my page, here's a little bit about me:
My name is Lisa Dorkhman and I'm from Old Bridge, New Jersey. I never knew what I wanted to be when I grew up, but always had a passion for makeup and beauty. I did what was the "normal route" and went to college. I started working at a tanning salon and immediately fell in love with spray tanning. I originally planned on going to school to get Makeup Certified, until Esthetician School became an idea. I went to beauty school at 19 after taking a year off college. I landed a job as a Wax Specialist, with a student permit, thinking, "We don't learn as much waxing in school. Let me see what it's all about". Fast forward 4.5 years, I finished college, a pandemic hit, and life resumed back to "normal". After the pandemic, I can speak for quite a few people, I was tired of being overworked and undercompensated, so I parted ways with a toxic corporation and launched Guided Glam.
For two years, I rented a salon suite and being an independent esthetician was the best thing I could have ever done for myself and my future. With just my luck, as my second lease was coming to an end, an actual store front decided to close and it was across my current plaza...I snatched it real quick. Once that lease was signed 06/20/2024, I knew my dream was REALLY turning into a reality.
Now to this current day, I am 26 years old, an Esthetician of almost 8 years, a business owner of 2.5 years, and am building the empire I've always planned to. All of my manifestations have come true and will continue to come true. I have so many ideas for the future, but I'm trying to live in the moment and take it all in now🩷
Thank you to everyone who has supported me, followed me, and simply congratulated me on my achievements. My life or Guided Glam wouldn't be what it is today🩷
