Happy National Registered Dietitian Day!!!
In 2020 I graduated undergrad at The Ohio State University, after finishing senior year online, at home and losing my last season of track. Life felt messy, confusing and I had no vision of my future. But then with major setbacks, I felt my calling, and decided to head back to school to get my Masters Degree and become an RDN.
2020-2022: I began a 2-year graduate program, Masters of Dietetics and Nutrition
@ohiostatemdn and I completed WELL over 1200 hours of supervised practice with a focus in sports nutrition. As well as extensive education on medical nutrition therapy, counseling, clinical, outpatient, food service and food science.
2022: I graduated from the best university in the world for the SECOND time. I continued working and took a much-needed break from studying before taking my boards. What some people donโt realize, is yes I graduated and got my Masters but I still had a road ahead of studying before taking my boards and becoming a Registered Dietitian.
2023: After a lot of tears, long hours and studying I took my board-certified exam and finally passed, becoming a registered dietitian!!!!!
A short 6 months later I began my own Private Practice: GracesGrit Nutrition and Fitness Solutions. I am so grateful to be so young in the field, yet have so many amazing mentors helping me, guiding me and supporting me. I wouldnโt be where I am without all of you: clients, mentors, family and friends.
I have now had the pleasure of being a preceptor for the
@ohiostatemdn grad program and have worked with 10+ students!
