We’re truly happy to share that Los Porfiados (The Stubborns) will be the Piazza Project at the @highmuseumofart in Atlanta 🇺🇸 From May 5 through November 2026, the project will take over the museum’s main Piazza as its major outdoor installation, at a moment when Atlanta becomes one of the host cities of the upcoming @fifaworldcup — welcoming visitors from around the world. In times marked by uncertainty and constant change, Los Porfiados reflects on resilience not as rigidity, but as adaptability: the capacity to move together, to regain balance, and to rediscover public space as a place for encounter, shaped by the beauty of sharing experiences with others. Warm thanks to @monica_obniski and to the entire High Museum team for the invitation, trust, and collaboration. Special thanks to our production partners @ignitionarts and of course to @flor_ness and the team of the @chicagoarchitecturebiennial for their continued support and commitment to the project. @gt2P @friedman_benda #LosPorfiados #TheStubborns #HighMuseum #PublicArt #Resilience gt2P

“The Stubborns (Los Porfiados)”: A reflection on resilience and collective space Rooted in the classic roly-poly toy or Bop Bag—known in Chile as monos porfiados—Los Porfiados (The Stubborns) propose a landscape of monumental inflatable sculptures that come to life through human interaction and play, transforming the space they inhabit into a collective choreography that explores resilience, collaboration, and the construction of public space @gt2p @chicagoarchitecturebiennial

@gt2p @hernangarfias #LaPanera

Today, Our studio @gt2p proudly celebrates 15 years of Paracrafting, exploring the intersection of art, science, and design. To mark this milestone, we are thrilled to present one of our most recent works: Shhh Pavilion: The Hopekeeper 2023-2024 This sculptural landmark pavilion, commissioned by IQHQ, seamlessly merges with RaDD Life, symbolically and functionally integrating into San Diego’s waterfront landscape. The pavilion’s three-legged funicular structure forms two grand arches: one welcoming visitors to the San Diego waterfront, and the other framing the RaDD campus. Naturally transforming into a stage for the park, it enables activities such as outdoor concerts, theater, speeches, and community celebrations—nurturing connection and creativity in the heart of San Diego. Inspired by childhood memories, the natural world, and its relationship with mathematics, we created this structure through a three-dimensional polygonal tessellation. Its shell-like form, composed of barnacle-like structural elements, recalls childhood games at the beach, where hope felt infinite. Nature, as a bridge between art and science, weaves seamlessly into the piece, creating a permanent installation that invites viewers to explore the interplay between memory, imagination, discovery and to trigger activities at the public space of San Diego. This project was made possible thanks to the commission of IQHQ, the curatorial vision of the great @annberchtold , and the remarkable fabrication and installation of our production partners @ignitionarts . We are especially grateful to @angelicasem , who was on the advisory curatorial committee on this project, sparking this beautiful collaboration with Ann. Over these 15 years, we have been fortunate to work with countless inspiring partners and supporters. A special thanks to @friedman_benda and @anavaprojects for being part of this adventure and believing in our vision. Here’s to many more years of creating and exploring! Finally thanks to @marcachile and @prochilerm for supporting our visit to USA. #gt2P #RaDDArtWalk #FriedmanBenda #IgnitionArts #PublicArt #marcachile #prochile #SanDiego #parametricdesign #paracrafting #art

Leaves by @gt2p : When we face challenges, our first instinct is to look up, seeking hope. This inspired our design for the Healing Park at City of Hope’s campus in California—a place for rest and reflection. Leaves connect us with the sky while offering shade in summer and letting sunlight through in winter, creating a serene, nature-integrated space. This project was commissioned by City of Hope for their “Ted Schwartz Family Hope & Healing Park” under the curatorial direction of the great @annberchtold . Fabrication and installation were carried out by our amazing production partners @ignitionarts . Special thanks to @angelicasem her support in the visit to USA. Lastly thanks to @marcachile and @prochilecl for their support in this amazing visit to California !! Leaves: When we face difficulties and seek hope, our first instinct is to look to the sky, an almost instinctive gesture towards something greater. This was the conceptual starting point for our project in the Healing Park on the City of Hope campus in Duarte, California (Cancer Research Center), where the goal was to integrate shade structures that provide a space for rest and reflection for those involved in the life of this center. The challenge was profound and paradoxical: our purpose was to create shelters that offered shade without blocking the visual connection to the sky, maintaining a sense of shelter while also allowing for openness for those beneath them. Additionally, these structures needed to adapt to California’s climate conditions, offering shade in the summer and a space where sunlight could reach in winter. To achieve this, two sculptural shelters were designed in the shape of a cocoon. Each structure is composed of a series of metallic “leaves” arranged elliptically, which gradually fold to create a perimeter shade over a resting area while simultaneously framing the view of the sky from within, almost like a stadium that draws the gaze upward. The geometry of these leaves recalls the lush vegetation of The Dream by Henri Rousseau, where natural elements envelop the observer and blend with the landscape. Like in Rousseau’s painting, these forms provide a dreamlike experience, subtly integrating into the park’s environment while simultaneously standing out as visual landmarks within the Healing Park. They invite visitors to enter a space for rest and reflection amidst nature, framing the sky and providing a refuge that adapts to seasonal changes. This project was commissioned by City of Hope for their “Ted Schwartz Family Hope & Healing Park” under the curatorial direction of @annberchtold . The fabrication and installation were carried out by @ignitionarts Special thanks to @angelicasem , the art advisor who connected us with Ann and made this collaboration possible . We’re grateful for your vision. Finally thanks to @marcachile and @prochilerm for supporting our visit to USA! #art #publicart #COH #ignitionarts #gt2p #friedmanbenda
