A week ago today, I was sitting in a diner booth with my cousin Shane, talking about cars, tattoos, music, roadtrips, our families, and everything we were going to do together this summer.
We sat in the booth for nearly 4 hours catching up, laughing, and coming up with more things to talk about so we wouldn’t have to leave.
This past Monday we lost one of the best to ever do it. There’s nothing I could write to do justice to the life of Shane Albert. But those of you who know him, know his spirit lit up every room he walked into, and he would do anything to help a friend.
This week has been hard on all of us, but I know I am so lucky because I got to see him one last time, and we parted ways saying “I love you, bro”. Shane was more than a cousin to me and Taylor, he was our brother, and he was one of the best friends I’ll ever have.
