Congratulations to our 2026 Gold Award Girl Scouts! 💚💚💚 This year, 149 Girl Scouts from across 25 counties in Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia and the District of Columbia earned the highest achievement in Girl Scouting. Gold Award Girl Scouts identified a real need in their communities and made a plan to address it. From STEM access to mental health support, environmental stewardship and community safety, these projects show what happens when young people take the lead! We are proud of you! ⭐ -- ¡Enhorabuena a nuestras Girl Scouts galardonadas con la Medalla de Oro de 2026! 💚💚💚 Este año, 149 Girl Scouts de 25 condados de Maryland, Virginia, Virginia Occidental y el Distrito de Columbia han obtenido el máximo reconocimiento en el movimiento Girl Scouts. Happy Troop Tuesday! 🥳💚 Utilizing their camping skills, Troop 10028 planned and hosted a S'mores and Game Night event at Charlotte Hall Veterans' Home! 🍫🏕️ They got to play games, eat s'mores, and most importantly, spend time with individuals that have served our country. They met Mr. Bump, a WWII veteran who turned 100 years old in March! Thank you Troop 10028 for spreading Girl Scout joy through our community! Want to see your troop featured on Troop Tuesday? On Sunday, April 26, GSCNC’s Women’s Advisory Board hosted an Explore-Around at the Smithsonian Craft Show! This event celebrated American artistry through the work of exceptional innovators and master craftspeople.🎨 🧵 Girl Scouts enjoyed an exclusive guided tour, where they met directly with artists and learned about the inspirations, techniques, and creative processes behind their work—offering a unique, behind-the-scenes look at the world of contemporary craft. 💚 -- ¡El domingo 26 de abril, el Consejo Asesor de Mujeres de GSCNC organizó una visita guiada «Explore-Around» en la Feria de Artesanía del Smithsonian!
