Nestled within the homes heritage wing, the family room is bathed in natural light that pours through soaring steel-framed windows.
Rooms remain their own defined sanctuaries, connected through carefully sealed openings that bridge old and new — preserving intimacy without sacrificing flow.
Dressed in warm, luxurious materials and textures, it offers the perfect refuge to unwind as the day draws to a close.

There are houses that hold their history lightly, and then there are houses like this one. ✨
Dr Ernest Fooks was one of Melbourne's most visionary modernist architects and this Caulfield home is exactly what you'd hope it to be. Considered. Quiet. Quietly radical.
Our brief was never to reinvent it. It was to listen to it.
The original wallpaper-lined joinery stayed. The curved timber battened ceiling stayed. The Venetian pendant lights, those beautiful originals, stayed. Around them, we layered a new material world: custom handmade glass sconces, new wallpaper, and luxury finishes that feel entirely of this moment without ever competing with what was already there.
This is what we love most about working with modernist heritage. The bones are already extraordinary. Your job is just to be worthy of them.

Domain’s cocktail room is immersed in a deep, high-gloss red that floods the space with richness and drama, evoking a jewel-box intimacy. Designed by Flack Studio, the cocktail bar is articulated by a stone inlay of Crema Perla and Black Antique granite, offering a refined counterpoint to the bold monochromatic setting.
Across this home, colour is used to signal moments of transition, subtly guiding movement between spaces while recalibrating atmosphere and experience.
