This month is mental health awareness month, and this weekend specifically is to raise awareness about the need our youth have for mental health care and outreach, to know that they have a community that cares, to know that they are not and will never be alone in navigating this world because at times, the weight feels unbearable. For us, this music and this community has truly saved us. Through punk rock so many of us found families and friends when we would have never had the chance otherwise to find them.
And because of that, we will forever be grateful to this scene and organizations who exist to nurture those bonds and the health of our hearts and our heads through the beauty of art and music.
