Hey y'all a family member is in urgently trying to leave a domestic violence situation. She is currently posted up at a hotel for a few nights but beyond that will likely end up sleeping in her car which we obviously want to avoid. Her body is stressed to the point that she is experiencing symptoms of pre-menopause. Without a safe space and some sort of regulation in her routine she is at risk for a severe manic episode.
She's currently waitlisted for a couple shelters but in the meantime we want to secure as much as we can financially so she will be able to move into a new place come June. Please please please share as far and wide as you can and donate if you're able. I am also hoping to secure monthly funds for her to help sustain her getting on her feet. Thanks for the lil crew that made it out yesterday! There were a lot of tech issues 😭 and yall were so sweet and cool about it. Nothing Compares is a really great doc for folks that haven't seen it! Something I'm enjoying about this mini series of screenings is the conversations and the way it connects people, still kinda reeling from it! Next listening n screening will be the last Sunday of April! Stay tuned 📺 this next one will be the last as this was just a way to stay connected and get through the last of the cold months.
