This is my why β€οΈβ€πŸ©Ή.... Because I know just how lonely it can feel seeing the "perfect body" plastered all over social media. So I will always do what I can to make sure no woman ever feels this way! Our bodies change daily, if not hourly! And it's completely out of our control. #endometriosis #endobelly #inflammation #bloatedbelly #womenshealth

Seriously, who actually comes up with these studies? 🀯 You wonder why we get mad when research is being wasted on studies like these! Studies that don't even focus on us and OUR feelings, OUR mental and physical health and OUR condition. Instead focusing on how the condition affects OTHERS and how they perceive us? Yes the one about "attractiveness" was redacted but it still happened?! Makes me so mad like😩 #endometriosis #endometriosisawareness #researchstudy #womenshealth #endobelly

Not the update I was expecting to give 🫠. After chasing multiple times over the last few months, I'm now even further away than what I've previously been told. I have no time frame as to when I'll actually get excision surgery on the NHS. Only a price of what it could cost me privately, which is way out of budget of what I could ever afford. I have an even longer wait for a "temporary measure" surgery to drain my cysts to help with some of my symptoms. However on the bright side I have managed to get an appointment to see my gynaecologist next month and have been referred for an ultrasound to check on my ovarian cysts. Part of me feels guilty for feeling so let down by this as there as so many others who have had to wait for longer. And it's not fair on any of us!πŸ˜” We deserve better care than this. We deserve to have healthcare where we are not constantly chasing for answers and updates. We deserve to be supported. It breaks my heart knowing so many of us are at this point of just waiting somewhere in the system. I can only hope and pray that one day a change will come for us all. β€οΈβ€πŸ©Ή #endometriosis #endometriosisawareness #nhs #endosurgery #chronicillness

Trying not to get too excited but I'm already planning and looking forward to things I want/ will be able to do after my next Endometriosis surgery! I'm just praying it all goes well when the time comes and gives me some relief from my symptoms. So here's the top ten on my list! Anyone else have a list like this? If so, what is/was on yours? I'd love to know! (Also if anyone wants to join me on these endeavours, please feel free!πŸ˜‚) #endometriosis #endometriosisawareness #bucketlist #postsurgery #womenshealth

A brilliant night at @menopause_doctor Breaking The Cycle tour and what an honour it was to meet Dr Newson! I can't believe how much I took away from this show. Some truly mind blowing information that makes you think very differently about hormones and how they work. And I learnt so much about the differences between synthetic and natural hormones! Looking forward to delving into Dr Newson's new book which is officially releasing next week! Thank you for everything you do @menopause_doctor you're truly inspirational!πŸ’› #endometriosis #hormonehealthforwomen #hormonehealth #womenshealth #breakingthecycletour

Today was one of the tougher days of my body acceptance journey and a stark reminder that days like this still exist. Looking back I know I shouldn't have let it bother me this much, but I'm only human and I know I'm not alone in feeling this way. I blame my period!🫠 Shout out to accounts like @carys.whittaker @sophthickfitnesss @lux_island and @the.confidentmama who remind us that it's the clothes and not us πŸ’• And also thank you to @costacoffee for the little pick me up note on my cup today (which is at the end of the reel so make sure you watch until the end to see what it says!) I really needed it today β€οΈβ€πŸ©Ή. #bodyimage #endobelly #weightgain #bodyacceptance #endometriosis

"You can only do what pain allows" is the perfect reminder for us all. After spending two weeks in a flare with cyst pain and migraines, I've felt nothing but guilt for not doing anything. But this is just life with a chronic illness and the important part is remembering to give myself grace and reminding myself that I'm not giving up β€οΈβ€πŸ©Ή. Sending love to those who can relate πŸ’›. #endometriosis #endometriosisawareness #chronicillness #womenshealth #mentalhealthawareness

I've gained a lot of new followers over the last few weeks (🀯) so I thought it was time to reintroduce myself! So hiya! I'm Amy-Jane, and here's a little about me! I should have also added that I'm a total open book and nothing is too tmi here, so if you have any questions, please feel free to ask! I only started this page to share my journey with endometriosis. I never expected to make over 30,000 new friends! (And I still question why anyone would want to follow little ol' meπŸ˜‚) But either way I'm grateful you're here. So thank you πŸ’› #reintroduction #endometriosis #endometriosisawareness #chronicillnesslife #thisisme

TW: pregnancy loss/ miscarriage... A little vulnerable one from me this evening but it's for an important cause β€οΈβ€πŸ©Ή. Right now women in the UK only have investigations via the NHS after 3 losses which is far too late! After experiencing 3 losses myself, I've never had any official investigations. They've just been put down to my endometriosis and it being "common". @tommys is changing that by creating The Graded Model for Miscarriage Care with hopes that it will be one day rolled out nationwide across the NHS! But they need our help! And we can do this by writing to our local MP's asking for their support too. Change can and needs to happen! Far too many families are suffering through the heartbreak of reoccurring losses and aren't given the answers or support that they so desperately need. So please take a look at @tommys page or the link in my bio, if not for yourself then for others. 🀍 #miscarriagecare #endometriosis #pregnancylossawareness #chronicillness #fertilitysupport

GLP-1's and Endometriosis? Let's discuss!πŸ’‰ So this is something I never thought I'd talk about on this page, especially when I speak so openly about body acceptance. But from what I've found this weekend, GLP-1's are becoming a VERY popular tool for endometriosis, even without much research behind the link between the two. Now there is a lot to research and look into regarding this because it has some pros and cons like all medications. BUT...from what I've seen from other people, it's look really interesting! Some have said their endo symptoms are much better since using the medication, and I've even seen the terms "life changing" and "most normal I've felt in years" being used! I'd love to hear your thoughts on this and if you have used this before for your endo and feel comfortable enough to do so, share your experience. I don't know how I feel about this yet but I'm definitely observing what people are saying! #endometriosis #endometriosisawareness #glp1 #glp1community #womenshealth

Wow what a day! πŸŽ₯ A huge thank you to @bbcwalesnews and @ohthatjennyp for giving me space to share my story. As great as it's been advocating for the community doing this, the real purpose of this was to highlight some of the major problems that are still happening within the NHS regarding the waiting list times and the number of women, like myself, who are still waiting to be seen, heard and helped. I will always do my very best to highlight the real issues we face as women within the health space. I just hope the next governing body will do the same and practice what they preach! #endometriosis #endometriosisawareness #bbcwales #newsoftheday #womenshealth
