📣 GROUNDSWELL 2026 UPDATE 📣
After many incredible years, we have some bittersweet news to share - Groundswell Festival will not be returning in 2026.
Like so many community events of its kind, Groundswell has always relied on a patchwork of funding support, the majority of which is renegotiated and reapplied for every single year. Despite the best efforts of everyone involved, we weren't able to bridge the funding gap required to deliver the event this year.
What we can say with absolute certainty is that Groundswell grew into something truly special. From its roots in Scarborough, to one of Perth's most loved free community festivals, it was built on the passion of an incredible community - the surfers, skaters, riders, players, musicians, artists, wellness lovers, volunteers, sponsors, sporting bodies and every single person who came down and made it their own.
To everyone who has supported, attended, competed in, or cheered on Groundswell over the years - we thank you. The stoke was real, and so was the impact 🤍
The 2025 Groundswell Grind was an awesome time. The Open Mens division was one not to have missed, so much awesomness pumping arond the bowl.
