LASwrites is a space for writing in all its forms - poetry or prose, essay or fiction - where language is treated as the movement of ideas and a stretching exercise of selfhood.
LASwrites_IRL at London Art Services (LAS), in Deptford, brings this approach into the gallery space: a live writing forum where voices become an embodied reading experience. The event will take place on 22 April 2026 and will consist of two parts: a curated first half, followed by an open mic where anyone can step in and read.
We’re looking for unsettled, experimental narratives, theory-fiction, non-fiction, autofiction, fragments, translations-in-progress, and other writing and performance styles.
Alongside more traditional forms, impromptu and subversive approaches are encouraged; especially work that challenges archaic narratives, disturbs linearity, and sparks new synapses.
