This month we are highlighting senior, Ryann Kanable.
Ryann is a senior here at Mount Union majoring in nursing! She is originally from Powell, Ohio and went to Olentangy Liberty High School. Ryann has been a member of the Mount Union volleyball team for the past four years. Ryann’s impact in the community runs much deeper than athletics. Currently she works at the James Cancer Hospital at OSU and Mercy in Canton as an aide during the school year. After graduation Ryann will be working as a registered nurse on the cardiac intensive care unit at the University of North Carolina. Ryann has been a Groovy Beans regular since day one and always comes in with a smile on.

Meet our first Groovy Guest of the Month, Sydney Mercer. We will be choosing a special guest each month to recognize! Sydney is a current senior at Mount Union pursuing a management degree. After graduation, Sydney plans to attend esthetician school and eventually would like to open her own business. Sydney is a four-year starter for the University of Mount Union softball program and has had a very accomplished career. Sydney has helped lead her team to four championships over the last three years and is looking to add another. The team is currently ranked 24th in the country.
Sydney is a graduate of West Branch High School where she was conference player of the year as a senior. Recently, Sydney has broken the career RBI and career runs record for Mount Union softball. In her past three seasons at Mount, she has been named first team All-Conference each year. She has also been selected to the All-Region team for three straight years.
Groovy Beans has chosen Sydney for our first Groovy Guest of The Month due to her outstanding athletic impact at Mount Union and for the positive light she is in so many lives.
