I had a rare failed attempt, posting to social media about my adventures yesterday at the
@bonesbrigade Experience. I’ve discovered that sometimes my Self-deprecation humor doesn’t always translate well, to the written word, or at least with my limited writing skills.
(*This is a photo of Stacy and I, unfortunately Mike and I didn’t get one together 😔)
I was invited to attend this event celebrating The Bones Brigade by
@mikemcgill . I don’t possess the best personality for these type of events, but I ended up having a blast, getting to hear their stories of our youth in skateboarding, based primarily in the early 1980’s. Such a good time, but unfortunately the interior lighting wasn’t my favorite for taking photos, plus I kinda wanted to be in the moment, and listen to the stories that the bones team came to tell. Which is why MY photos in this post are lacking. (Other contributors killed it though📸🤩🏆)
-Thanks again Mike, and to the whole crew for allowing me to attend. I was moved by the stories being told on that stage, by such amazing skaters/artists. I did have a little a sense of regret while listening though. I had wished that the team I was involved with during this period, had someone with the experience, guidance, and even more importantly perhaps is the foresight of
@peraltastacy . I doubt I would have come to that same conclusion back then, but it seems that way now. Really though, who am I kidding, there’s only one skateboarding Yoda, especially for back then, so how could I have wished one for us too? A pure silly thought, on my part.
Anyway, thanks for listening to my olde man ramblings.
