Today @opytnoe_pole is wrapping up its mini-festival in Belgrade. I’m glad to be part of this story and this process. During this time, we opened an exhibition, held two performances in @ostavinskaa , and today the third in @auditoria_belgrade — the final one — will take place, closing the program. We presented two film programs, one of them in collaboration with a film @domkulture_studentskigrad (thanks @arch.chief.afc ), as well as the film “Numbness” by @silvestrov.andrey Today at the @auditoria_belgrade — a special screening from the Metakansk festival. I hope this story will continue.

"Fragment" The performance examines memory as a process rather than an archive. Personal recordings, having lost their original belonging, turn into anonymous sonic matter where the individual becomes collective. Sound functions as a form of liminality — a state of “in-between”: between past and present, document and fiction, biography and its ruptures. In this performance, memory is not restored but reinterpreted through sound, revealing how the past shifts each time one returns to it." See you soon at the opening!

We continue our artist series from the project. Today – Grisha Mumrikov @griggri with Project Trace. In 1957, newspapers in Chelyabinsk reported that the unusual glow in the sky was the Northern Lights. A single official word instantly fixed the meaning — the event became explained and safely integrated into the familiar order of things. Decades later, Project Trace turns to this moment as an example of how language, once used by power, shapes the boundaries of perception. By naming the light “an aurora,” the newspaper erased ambiguity and established a single version of reality. This linguistic trace remains — not only in the archive but in how we perceive the world itself. Language doesn’t reflect reality; it constructs it. And perhaps, recognizing this construction means keeping open the space for a future that doesn’t coincide with the official present. 🇩🇪 Wir setzen unsere Reihe der Künstler*innen des Projekts fort. Heute – Grisha Mumrikov mit Project Trace. 1957 berichteten Zeitungen in Tscheljabinsk, das ungewöhnliche Leuchten am Himmel sei das Nordlicht. Ein einziges offizielles Wort fixierte sofort die Bedeutung – das Ereignis wurde erklärt und in die vertraute Ordnung der Dinge integriert. Project Trace greift diesen Moment auf, um zu zeigen, wie Sprache – im Dienste der Macht – Wahrnehmung formt. Indem das Licht als „Nordlicht“ bezeichnet wurde, verschwand die Mehrdeutigkeit, und eine einzige Version der Realität setzte sich durch. Diese sprachliche Spur bleibt – nicht nur im Archiv, sondern auch in unserer Wahrnehmung der Welt. Sprache spiegelt die Realität nicht wider – sie konstruiert sie. Vielleicht bedeutet das Erkennen dieser Konstruktionen, Raum für eine Zukunft zu bewahren, die nicht mit der offiziellen Gegenwart übereinstimmt. It produces its own image, even when it seems absent. Every absence becomes the beginning of a memory. Every rupture becomes an archive. In this sense, emptiness proves to be active: it forces the imagination to work. Mute­ness is not silence. It is a language without a voice, an understanding without utterance. It delays speech, yet in this delay accumulates the entire experience of the unspoken. Between emptiness and muteness emerges an afterimage — Nachbild. It is neither light nor object, but a delay: the afterglow of emptiness. It lives in the eye, in memory, in the body, bringing back what has vanished but still continues to exist. Вот текст про проект: Фотовыставка коллектива Unverortet На фотовыставке коллектива Unverortet мы покажем снимки, сделанные мигрантами и беженцами в лагерях и общежитиях Германии. Все участники фотографировали в течение ограниченного времени, используя одноразовые камеры. Получившиеся снимки рассказывают личные истории о повседневной жизни в местах, которые никогда не предназначались для долгосрочного проживания. Лагеря для беженцев создавались как временные убежища на случай чрезвычайных ситуаций. Однако их структуры часто оказываются на удивление прочными. Несмотря на все ограничения и сложные условия, для многих людей они на годы становятся единственным домом. Как государство может сделать жизнь в чрезвычайных условиях нормой, и что вообще такое норма? Как возникает чувство (не)безопасности? Кому принадлежит какое пространство? The deepest black conceals within it a glimmer of the finest silver, tempered by moonlight — a message that quietly slipped from the cage of the mind, never reaching its intended recipient. This is an instrumental elegy for organ, clarinet, and electronics — a collaboration across time and borders. The unusual pairing of organ and clarinet, especially with live electronics, made the process uniquely compelling for us. Air and breath flow through the clarinet, while the organ evokes swirling, impenetrable depths. Electronics ignite sparks between them, illuminating a dialogue of elements. Together, they form a sonic ritual — a hymn to dialectics and free thought, where true joy and inner peace are born. Numerata Continuo is a new project by sound producer, multi-instrumentalist, improviser, and philosopher @orpheus_in_hell , and clarinetist, composer, visual artist, and photographer Grisha Mumrikov. The project’s sonic mission is to explore distance, improvisation as a form of dialogical thinking, and numbers as the generative essence of music. Перформанс за перформансом. @opytnoe_pole приглашает в пятницу 13 июня 2025 в @focuss.space где СИТУАЦИЯ НЕ ОЧЕНЬ, а где она очень? Хоррор-звучание несуществующего фильма. Что остаётся от кино, когда оно лишено голоса? Что остаётся от музыки, когда она выходит за пределы нарратива? Ситуация — это не сопровождение, а совместное пребывание в неопределённости. Музыкант выходит не как носитель заранее заданного материала, но как чувствительное тело, втянутое в поле изображения. Он не воспроизводит, а отвечает. Его звук — это форма внимания. Это отказ от гармонизации, от единой точки зрения, от «правильного» восприятия. Вместо авторской тотальности — распределённая ответственность между тем, кто смотрит, и тем, кто звучит. Вместо комментария — возможность провала. Вместо иллюстрации — деконструкция. Здесь рождается перформативная зона несогласия и соучастия — пространство, где разыгрывается вопрос об этике взаимодействия с образом, о границах интерпретации, о возможности диалога, в котором никто не говорит первым и никто не говорит последним.
