Saturday April 18th, Big punk and punk adjacent benefit gig at the Channing Murray Foundation in Urbana for @theimmigrationproject1995 , a local org that provides legal assistance to immigrants in Central and Southern Illinois. Make a big fucking guess why I think thatās important to support.

I donāt think this has been announced but itās in two weeks so okay here I go @sickoftalkin@struckinhc@severance.hq@totaledhc are all bands playing this show. I learned that when Shiloh posted it. These are all good bands and you will look really cool in pictures moshing to them or finger pointing. A band called Patron Saints is also playing and Iām going to claim that itās their first show. If itās not? Iām sorry. This band, GRID, is also playing. Will we have new songs? No. Will we practice? Maybe! Will you be there? I really hope so!

The man with the Sweet Tooth, the Legendary Lumpy himself makes a triumphant return to Springfield, IL. Leave the stinky green spaghetti at home though folksā¦ because this time? Itās indie rock. This is a classic mixed bill show, which means thereās a little something for everyone especially people who like good music.
All you kids love āindie sleazeā which is maybe a made-up thing but I fully expect Soup Activists will all be fully clothed in vintage American Apparel. I think @dumbrecs told me that this is two of the bands first show so, who knows, you might see the next āStrokesā or at the very least āInterpolā!!

Alright gather round and listen up, this is a show for the ages - or at least the moment - courtesy of Lil Evan Fortner. GRID will be releasing our demo tape and if you donāt buy it Iām legally allowed to kill you. This also marks the return of @bibhardcore to Springfield, IL. The Great American Hardcore Band who - if Iām not mistaken - last appeared like 7 years ago to dance on the graves of me and Drewās old bands. Many of you donāt remember this because you were still learning to read, but now theyāre back to rub it in our faces once again.
@powerofdusk also played said funeral and are back to help me to prove once and for all that āold guys rockā. In addition we have the awesome @xwhatcountsx who I think might be straight edge and @totaledhc who were all 10 years old last time BIB played here.
