Meet me at the corkscrew š Before the release of our FL5 dual oil cooler kit, @grid_zilla was at WRLS helping us put them to the test, alongside our FL5 radiator. That @prlmotorsports intercooler features CSF cores as well, so itās one cool Type R under pressure š„¶
CSF is pleased to announce the highly anticipated new High-Performance Dual Engine Oil Cooler Kit for the FL5 Honda Civic Type R ( CSF #8343 )
FL5 drivers regularly see high oil temperatures completely stock and even higher on modified examples. In testing, CSF observed temperatures over 275°F (135°C) on the track, and it was clear the FL5 needed a solution. The engineering team set out to develop CSFās first ever complete engine oil cooler kit, and the results speak for themselves. CSFās new engine oil cooler kit is the āReal Dealā with stunning performance and an aggressive look to match.
CSF spent over a year in testing and development of this kit working with R&D Partners and multiple drivers competing in Global Time Attack (GTA) and GridLife. Initial testing was performed in the controlled environment of a dyno. CSF then moved into aggressive real world testing and development on the track where most customers would be using these kits.
Key Features:
Two Dual Pass High-Performance Oil Coolers
āŖļø CPE lined stainless steel braided lines
āŖļø DYME Pro/Spec Quick Release Fittings
āŖļø Billet Sandwich Plate with 175-195°F (80-90°C) Thermostat

Moding cars has always been a passion of mine more specifically my love for Hondaās that will never die. Today I had to say goodbye to one of my most ambitious projects ever. It is taking me a while to process all that has happened in the last couple of years many highs and a few lows. Itās life we all go through these kind of things. I donāt have any regrets aside from a couple of poor financial choices here and there. What Iāve built here Iām confident is among the best built FL5 Type Rās in the world. She will be with her new owner and I trust she will be well taken care of. Itās a shame. I only had one real track day with her in her current form but itās time to move on and get back on my feet and keep my biggest priorities firmly in sight, which is my wife and kids. Iām not going anywhere. Iām sure there will be another car in the future but until then I want to thank you all for the support youāve all shown through the years. Stay tuned for the next chapter whenever that begins.
@csf_radiators does it again. Pictured here are the 99% production ready bumper vents for the dual oil cooler kit for the FL5 Type R that I helped develop with CSF Radiators.
just as a disclaimer, I had pre-existing holes from the prototype vents and so in an effort to best utilize the pre-existing holes, the finished carbon fiber vents by CSF would normally be a bit closer to the center of the bumper. But otherwise the fitment is spot on the hardware provided was of high-quality nothing short of what iāve come to expect from CSF Radiators. Thereās a short video of the prototype vent on one side and the CSF vent on the other side. I think the new vents really finish the look on the front of the FL5 and brings a nice mean aggressive look to otherwise some might say sedate exterior.
Hats off to CSF for their dedication and hard work to help solve the cooling issues known to plague this platform.
We called @dustiinw to ask if we could borrow his FL-5 TypeR to finalize our dual-engine oil cooler kit.
Dustin had no idea what the kit was going to look like. He said āI want it to be a surpriseā š®
