The BBC cut us out of this story, for some reason - but this initiative is from the @grid_faeries , that’s me and @claire_oneill_agf and this is what we said about it…:) Dale Vince: "Great to be back at this brilliant festival of global culture. Two years ago, we powered the Charlie Gillett Stage. This time we’re stepping it up - bringing our wind-and-sun charged, batteries to run the main stage at WOMAD’s new home in Wiltshire. We can support large-scale events, by investing in cleaner energy solutions, while minimising their environmental impact for the future”. Claire O'Neill: "Grid Faeries are here to remove noisy diesel generators off stages for good. To put it into perspective the batteries plus the additional wind turbines have enough power to boil the equivalent of 30,000 kettles - that’s enough for 120,000 cups of tea!” @agreenerfuture_ @ecotricity @greenbritainfoundation

Last year we helped LIDO power their main stage with 100% green energy – no diesel, no nonsense – just sun and wind, stored in our big-ass Grid Faeries x Ecotricity battery. That’s how you do festivals in a climate emergency….⚡🧚🏻 /lido-among-25-festivals-to-achieve-a-greener-future-certification/?utm_content=520520918&utm_medium=social&utm_source=linkedin&hss_channel=lcp-5266026

Dale Vince: “When people go to a concert or a football match, they’re open to new experiences. It's a chance to show them what you’re doing - solar panels, car chargers, vegan food - and let them think about it.” “You don’t have to preach. You just show people what’s possible."

Grid Faeries have been nominated for another award! The TPI Awards 2026 have placed us in the ‘Favourite Power Supply Company’ category. A vote for us is a vote for the live music sector to be powered by the wind and sun. Co Founder Claire O’Neill said “Taking diesel out of events is what we’re about. Replacing dirty generators, so you hear only the sound of music.” @agreenerfuture_ @claire_oneill_agf @ecotricity @greenbritainfoundation @therealdalevince
