Ever thought about the everyday objects around you? The ones you use without even noticing—like a tray, a vase… even a tissue holder. I’m Mohit, and I started Greyinklab because I believe those small things matter. That even the most ordinary object can feel special. To me, design isn’t just about how beautiful something looks. It’s about how it makes you feel. That’s why everything I create is both functional and sculptural, something you can use, but also connect with. It’s my way of reminding you that beauty can live in the smallest corners of your home. This is what Greyinklab is all about. Making art you can live with. And turning everyday moments into something meaningful. 🎥 Watch the video to know why I do what I do. Shot & edited by @cinebyjam

The brief was simple. Make something to hold remotes. Something no one has seen before. So I started with water and concrete and my hands. No mould. No machine. No template. Two pieces came out of the same mix, the same day, the same studio. They don’t look like each other. They don’t feel like each other. One erupts. One receives. Both are still becoming.

She bought a small piece at a popup last December. Lost my card on the way home. Couldn’t remember the full name only that it started with Grey. She searched until she found me. Then she DM’d asking for something to organise her remotes. I showed her a piece she’d already seen at the popup. She said she wanted something different. Something unique that doesn’t exist yet. I said I’d have to make something new. She said make whatever you think is right. I trust you. So I made two things. Same brief. Same material. Two completely different answers. She hasn’t seen them yet. Neither have you.

Most tissue holders are forgettable and that bothered me. This collection 20 pieces, each hand carved , started because I couldn’t find a single one worth keeping on my desk. So I made them. Concrete. Entirely hand textured. No two identical. The Kaiyo collection. Available to order now , DM to book yours.

A piece should feel at home before the person who owns it does.

Currin. Named after the movement of underwater currents , the way water bends, shifts, and carries everything quietly forward. Look at it long enough and you’ll see it. This is a tissue holder. It is also a sculpture. It is also a piece of the deep sea, brought into your space. Movement frozen in time. ↓ Swipe to see how it was made from raw material to finished form.

You use this everyday, but have you ever noticed it? We use certain objects every day. Rarely do we question how they look or feel. This piece exists to shift that. Not just functional. Not just decorative. But intentional.
